I started reading Dragonlance: War of the Twins, but didn't finish it. I'm 3/4 done with a cutsey Christian romance book called "Echos" (where a Christian woman falls in love with a man over the internet... like I said, cutsey.) Up next is the Silmarillion by JRR Toliken... the creation and history of Middle Earth. I started it before and lost the book. So that's definately next on my reading list.

Got three going in my Study:

The Grace of God, The Will of Man - Clark Pinnock, General Editor

The Baptist Reformation, The conservative resurgence in the SBC by Jerry Sutton.

All three have interesting info.

I just finished The Puritan Hope by Iain Murray and just started The Death of Death by John Owen. I'm also working through John Piper's Brothers, We are not Professionals, Doug Wilson's Reforming Marriage and Martyn Lloyd-Jones Revival.

I love to read. And all of these have been wonderful books.

Just finished "Southern Storm," the second in a 4-part series by Terri Blackstock.

I started reading this book at about 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and even with taking a nap, picking my daughter up from school, fixing a light supper, doing laundry and other chores, I had finished the book by shortly after 7 last night! Yes, I'm a fast reader, but this book was a definite page-turner that was VERY difficult to put down!
Blackstock is at her best with these mystery/suspense type novels, IMO.

Though the action never lets up,the spiritual content is strong. I found myself moved to tears when an agnostic character comes face-to-face with the reality of Christ and her need for Him. And the theme of God's sovereignty in the midst of tragedy is woven throughout the book.

I heartily recommend it,as well as the first book,"Cape Refuge." I can't wait to read the next two!

I'm about to start Courtly Desire and Medieval Homophobia: The Legitimation of Sexual Pleasure in `Cleanness` and Its Contexts by Elizabeth B. Keiser; I think Stubbornkelly (or possibly Rev. Joshua) recommended it. Also I'm working my way through the Melville chapter of Eibeibungaku no naka no yudaya-jin, i.e. "(The) Jew(s) in English and American Literature", by Tetsu Kouno. Not easy reading, but interesting. Mostly deals with the six Jewish characters in Clarel.

I am reading "Unveiling Islam" by Caner & Caner. I have less than a 100 pages left. It's really informative and I highly recommend it.

Just started Sleeping with Extraterrestrials by Wendy Kaminer (subtitled "The Rise of Irrationalism and the Perils of Piety"), and The Bible: Modern Critical Views edited by Harold Bloom. Also, in connection with my engagement to be married, No Longer Two by British evangelical writers Brian and Barbara Edwards (subtitled "A guide for Christian engagement and marriage"). And I've been rereading (actually, reading aloud to my betrothed) Lady Louse Lived There, a collection of poems/stories inspired by the famous Lushootseed anecdote about "Lady Louse".

i spend all my reading/listening time with the bible, commentaries, sermons (go sermonaudio.com), christian music (hymns mostly), this board
,and "the bible in living sound" and pilgrim's progress with my kids. my wife thinks i'm kooky and massively overdoing it but if i spend time on anything secular (outside of my job) i feel really guilty about wasting time. oh well, i hope it's not a brain tumor!
