I am currently reading, Courage is the Key by Alexander Klein. It is an old book in my personal library dating back to 1953. It covers well known people who suffered handicaps and how they overcame the problems that go along with handicaps. A very interesting book.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I am reading Hail, Holy Queen by Scott Hahn, trying to get a better understanding of the Catholic's view of Mary.

I am currently reading The True Book about David Livingstone by Richard Arnold. Published in London by Frederick Muller LTD., 1957.

David Livingston's life story is fascinating!

    Okay...

I finished The True Book about David Livingston about 3:30 AM this morning, so now I'm on the hunt for another good book. [IMG]

John Boswell, Same-Sex Unions in Premodern Europe, which I've heard about for years and finally found a cheap copy of; an extremely valuable contribution to the history and exegesis of marriage. Highly recommended for those not allergic to erudition and footnotes.

Finishing up a book for homeschooling moms (though I HIGHLY recommend it for non-homeschooling moms as well) called Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit. Will be starting a new book by Nancy Leigh DeMoss called Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free.

I'm also reading two devotional books by Don Carson. The books are based on the readings
in the McCheyne Bible Reading Calendar which
I've used for years. I'm reading from the
NIV and when I read through the Psalms the
second time I'm going to use the ESV. Carson's
books are in two volumes under the same title:
For the Love of God .

Last night I started "Into The Future" by Elmer Towns and Warren Bird.
"A hands-on workbook that shows what your church will look like in twenty years-and how to get there."
    Just for fun. [IMG]
Next in line is "Toward a just and caring society", but it looks kinda boring so my backup is, wait, can I get banned for this? It's a book of people writing about the writings of Pope John Paul ll.
When I'm finished I might write about the writers who wrote about his writings.

Just finished 'Let's Roll' by Lisa Beamer, widow of Todd Beamer who was killed in the crash of United flight 93 on 9/11. I was pleased that she wrote so confidently of their faith.

Currently reading 'Be Your Best: The Family Manager's Guide to Success' by Kathy Peel.

Julia, I have 'Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit'. It's a favorite of mine that I return to often.

Just started re-reading The Wandering Unicorn by Manuel Mújica Lainez. I would really like to read it in Spanish (original title simply El Unicórnio but it seems to be nearly impossible to come by in the original. If by some bizarre coincidence some Baptist-Boarder owns it in Spanish, and is no longer interested in possessing or reading it, I'd be very much interested in a PM about possible transfer of ownership.
