Are you saying the KJV isn't the Bible?   ;)

Bro. TomVols

The Journey books are all theological novels. The book A Journey in Eschatology is a continuing story of Ira Pointer, as he faces another theological search. Thinking he is free of such pursuits for a while, he is again suddenly thrust into the most difficult of all quests, the search to unravel the various eschatological views of his day. His mind is at times boggled by the many eschatological terms and claims -- pre-mil, post-mil, a-mil, preterist, futurist, historicist, pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib. etc.
But not only is he searching for an understanding of theology in this difficult area, but he is involved with another search. We learn in this book that he was reared in a children's home, having been abandoned by his parents at two years of age. So when the writing of this book opens the door to search for his birth parents, he at first rejects the possibility, but then after prayer, becomes deeply involved in that arduous and even dangerous challenge. If you read these novels I suggest that you start with Journey in Grace and read through all seven books. In Belchers novel on eschatology all he does is give you a look at all the views on end times.
Bro. TomVols if you could suggest a book or books on this doctrin I would like to read it. As for my view, I quess you could say I am a pan-mil, (everything will work out according to Gods Plan).

"The Power of Positive Praying" by John Bisagno. It is a thin paperback which I think was written in the late 60s. My BTU leaders got a copy for each of us in their group, and taught from it, back when I was a teen. I really didn't know much about praying until studying that book. I think that it is still around and still worth reading.

Aaron,
I'm interested in your book choice. In high school I was pretty well set as a conservative in my political viewpoints. One of the books that most strongly reinforced that was Wurmbrand's as a lesson in the evil that Communism was (and still is in a few countries).

Other influential books:

Economics in One Lesson---Henry Hazlitt

Wealth and Poverty---George Gilder

Men and Marriage---George Gilder

Theory and History---Ludwig von Mises

Socialism ---Ludwig von Mises

None Dare Call It Treason---John Stormer

The Moral Question of Abortion---Stephen Schwarz

Suicide of the West---James Burnham

Communism and the New Left---U.S. News & World Report

I highly recommend any of DR. M.R. DE HAAN’S books..
Especially these three books, “Chemistry of the Blood”, “The Tabernacle”, and “Portraits of Christ in Genesis”…. These books were extremely important to me as a Christian….

“The Tabernacle”…. There’s no better way to understand how that God saves by grace and through his shed blood….

Portraits of “Christ in Genesis”…. It shows Christ from the Garden of Eden all the way through the Old Testament” You can’t understand, grace by substitution, until you see Christ in the Old Testament, and De Haan reveals him remarkably well in this book….

“Chemistry of the Blood”…. This book is a real treat for Christians, doctors, and scientist, alike… I highly recommend this book…

If you desire to understand Revelation, “Revelation: Three Viewpoints” is a must read….. The three view points are excellently done by these three men… G. R. Beasley-Murray, Herschel H. Hobbs, Ray Frank Robbins… David George then summarizes….

Another book on Revelation, “Revelation” by Alan F. Johnson…. The Two Witnesses are revealed in this book… At least, the way that I believe they should be revealed…. Peace… Gary

I met the "Einstein" of the 21st Century theologians--Dr. John Phillips on an occasion and asked him, "Dr. Phillips! Is there any advise you can give a young preacher?" A smile came upon his face and in that British accent with a bit of British pride replied, "Young man! Keep buying my books!" Any book by Dr. John Phillips

Any book by:
Stephen F. Olford
Adrian Rogers
John MacAuthor

Some Christian businessmen who wrote books--
--Coach Bobby Bowden, "The Bowden Way"
--Coach Joe Gibbs, "Racing to Win"
--Coach Tom Osborn, "Faith in the Game"

With all my heart you can't go wrong with any of these fellas!

The book that has influenced me the most is "Mathew 24 Fullfilled" by John Bray, a Baptist Minister. He messed up my whole Bible.
