well to be totally upfront, God DOES punish people if they persist in grieving away His Holy Spirit. And so to coddle xdisciplex isnt exactly the real "loving" thing to do.

There comes a point when you have to say "hey look, just do what God says" and you dont have to worry about that. But to LIE to someone isnt helpful.

And since I have already been depressed as a child I guess I am simply born wicked and God has been angry at me ever since the day I was born. Amazing.

Hey man, if you want people to lie to you, you have got plenty of them here willing to do that "for" you... just have at it... every single day you can come here and every single day you can pull quotations out of your Bible where God tells you to do something, and every single day you can make sure that you are just surrounded and saturated with people here who are willing to "love" you and quiet your conscience.

I do find it odd though that in your post above you seem to BELIEVE God isnt "angry" at you, so why do you continually need anyone to tell you this? New Agers who used to always come to the Christian chat rooms I attended would ALWAYS come with this idea that with "God" there is no judgment, no law, no retribution... and THEY thought the Christian God was an "angry" God... and of course they'd always try to convince people "God" was just some sort of Santa Claus who loved you no matter what.

Just wondering why you continually need everyone to inform you that God is just all love and that all these Bible verses you come up with that say otherwise... well you should just ignore them?

xd, what is it that you would like to happen in this situation? Do you have a desired end?

Sure. I would like to find a solution for my problem and then be without sorrows again but I don't even dare to think about it it would be too good to be true.
But somehow this whole stuff confused me. What if God doesn't even want us to be well in this life what if this doesn't matter to him at all and he only wants to shape us and it doesn't matter if we suffer and if we are totally depressed? What if God doesn't care about such things? I dont know what to think anymore.
I mean if this is true then I can basically always think that if I get sick or if I have a problem it's God's will and God wants to teach me something. Is this really sound doctrine? Then going to the doctor and seeking help or taking antidepressants would be against his will, too.
When I think about these things then I imagine God as someone who doesn't care about our problems and who only cares about eternity and who wants to mold us through suffering and this life here basically means nothing to him at all. What if I'm totally foolish in God's eyes and he thinks that I'm a fool because I allow these things to drag me down? This makes me feel bad and guilty because I think that God thinks that I'm foolish. Once again the problem is simply that I have no clue how God really is. All christians read the bible but they all paint a different picture of God. Some say that God loves me others say that God might be punishing me but none of them really knows how God really is and I also don't know it. This is no freedom. Christians always say that christianity means freedom from guilt and feeling guilty but I do just that. I feel guilty most of the time and in times where everything works fine I think that God is on my side but when I have problems and everything seems bad then i think that God left me. It's always the same.

In other words, depression is a real disorder that needs to be treated. It also can be inherited.

I've wondered this for a long time. Many have tried to help and offered good suggestions, then he just goes a starts another thread with some off-the-wall question.

And you're right, Jesus did ask the man"Do you want to be healed?" Some just don't want to. I'm not convinced that this is the case here, but I'm also not convinced it's not.

No, I have not taken them. I read about a side effect which is problematic and because of this it doesn't make sense to take it but like I said it's a complicated story. I cannot explain this all here.

I understand, but if your dr. prescribed a med and you refuse to take it then you are refusing help. You have to cooperate or you won't get any better. There's really nothing anyone can do for you if you refuse to cooperate. Everything has side effects. Breathing has side effects. Just do what your dr. says.
