Won’t your wife question some decisions or is she OK with your choice of church.. I only ask cause my dear wife is very critical of Quasi casual churches who have a liberal bent. She won’t even consider denoms like UMC, Eposcipal, Presbyterian (even though she’s raised up Dutch Reformed).

Well, we agree Theologically on essentially all issues. She follows my leadership in these regards. Neither of us are "liberal". When I changed my mind on some issues, I discussed them with her along with my reasoning. She was, for instance, raised Presbyterian. She is now committed to Baptist distinctives. Even if she did not like or agree with my decision she would follow it.
One thing I am grateful for is that I realized early on that shared values are critical in marriage. If she were, for example, theologically committed to Infant Baptism or etc. we simply would not have married.

“Subjugate our personal preferences on ministry practices yada yada as well as some doctrinal practices in order to work together” …WOW, …sounds like capitulation to me! In my life, I’ve seen that same stance by the UMC, the PCUSA, and with all liberal leaning, now apostate churches. it’s just a matter of time!
