Not that tax cuts solve all problems but we did get a tax cut. I did at least.

I will be fair about this one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't part of that massive stimulus package supposed to put people to work on infrastructure?
Even though work is work, if I lose my job, I'd like to think that I'll be able to do more than just road construction.
I am better suited in the security industry (mall security), office management, or even working in customer retail. While I don't like working in a convenience store, its kept me financially afloat (mostly because of the overtime involved). My senses are also much sharper when I'm in the store.
You'd think that the government would try to get all kinds of jobs to suit people's skills rather than focusing on one type of job.

Both Republicans and Democrats have destroyed jobs by instituting NAFTA, CAFTA, and normal permanent trade relations with China, among others.
Obama promised to create 2.5 million jobs during his campaign. Where are they? Why is unemployment rising?

Trust me...the nationalization of our industries will destroy jobs, for sure.
In a nutshell------it works like this
The Feds dump money into a road project--------lets just say----on I-20 running through this part of the south
A contract is let on repaving 125 miles of the west bound lanes running from the Alabama/Georgia state line to Birmingham
125 miles------thats a lot of Asphalt----and there are literally hundreds of Asphalt companies who will be bidding
Thats a lot of asphalt to haul-----so there will be literally hundreds of hauling companies who will be bidding
Then theres the paving itself--------literally hundreds of paving companies will be bidding
Hundreds of things come into consideration
Fuel for trucks and equipment down to companies who will bid to provide "Port-O-Johns"
On down the line
Its not just---------"We hire one company to do the work!!!"-------hundreds of companies and tens of thousands of people come into play and lots and lots of "Doughnuts"($$$$$$$$$$$$$'s) being passed around
Funny what I have noticed
When the Feds provide $$$$$$$$$$'s for infrastructure-----it takes time for the system to be noticed by the public
But when the Feds "cut" certain projects--------its noticeable that very moment
Years ago-----I believe it was with the Reagon administration-------the Feds decided to "cut out" the B-1 Bomber--------there was a man in my church who was an engineer with some company that made certain parts that went into the bomber
The announcement was made one day to cut the B-1 project----and the next day---he didn't have a job--------literally that fast
Well, the other day, I had to go to the DMV, which is right next door to the Unemployment office.
The people applying for unemployment had crowded the office so badly that they had spilled outside and were sitting on the lawn.
I'd say Obama has made it necessary for that unemployment office to hire another eight to ten people.
See? He's creating jobs already.

This is 800 more with jobs, BUT, you and I are gonna be paying their salary; not some employer that is generating income, paying the employees, paying taxes, etc.!

Raised cigarette taxes multiple times and forced layoffs of tobacco processing workers.
The blessing in that picture is that he extended the unemployment benefits so those less fortunate will get some help to weather this storm.
He has only had the helm 3 months. Why not give him a couple of years then ask this question?

Hired more government workers. If he keeps up his Fascist policy everyone will be working for the government!
So hiring 800 new IRS agents means you won't have a twenty?
