What is Habitual Sin?

And you seem to think all this happens instantly?

How about this? Tell all the people who talk behind other people's backs that they are NOT showing any regeneration by the Holy Spirit and tell them to get out of your church, because obviously they are not 'really' surrendered to God.

Forget about homosexuals for a week and just concentrate on gossips. Tell me how that works.

:applause: And let's not forget those gluttons.

yeshua's stance seems to be that if they haven't completely turned away from their old ways and repenting that they can't be saved.

But as I said before, true repentance is a turning away from. And if someone is in a stronghold, why would we expect there to be a turning away? Are they any less saved because they haven't completely turned away from something they did before they were saved?

Perhaps a better measure of examining people's actions is whether or not they are still seeking Christ as their all-sufficient answer even through the stronghold?

No, my stance is that we Cannot say that active homosexuality, those commited to continuing in that life style, whose desires are to keep sinning as usual afetr professing jesus, is to beallowed by the church...

I am just llooking to have the Chrsitian Body agree that living in that sin practive not compatible with one being saved by grace !

for the chruch to stop ordianing gay ministers, marrying gays/lesbians, calling that an acceptable and aleternative lifrestyle, for God does NOT!

Do you say the same of the gluttons and the gossips?

Then say it non-hypocritically.

Neither is allowing 300 lb pastors and deacons to serve. Neither does allowing gossiping wives. Neither does accommodating the gluttony of a large chunk of the body.

So either apply Scripture justly and righteously or cease with the unrighteous judgment of one sin.

can a christian smoke drink eat alot and cause damage to himself, yes!

can a practocng homosexual/lesbian, who is NOT confronted by the Body to stop that activity, against will of God, cause damge to themselves, yes, but by condoning that behaviour , puts many at risk!

You know how ludicrous this sounds? WHy didn't you say that same thing about Christians smoking, drinking and eating a lot? Is the Body confronting them?

yes, its just that the christian Church still sees Adultery, gossip, murder, rape, etc as still all being sin against God, but many within Church have refeined/labeled homosexual behaviour as no longer sinning, but acceptable lifestyle!

Do you deny that has been happening?

I believe you need a lesson is what the Bible says about sexual sin. We confront believers in all forms of sexual sin, not just homosexual practice. You minimize the level of sin, from a human temporal standpoint, by trying to compare it to food, drink, and smoking. It is a a logical fallacy because it is a false analogy.

This is often done by those who want to minimize rather than show the sinfulness of sin is exceeding sinful.

The Scriptures are clear that sin from without and taken in are greatly different that that which is sexual sin - generated from within and lived out in perversion.

Good Post TND!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

All sin is bad, but he sems to fail to see that homosexuality gets "special mention" as a sin, and that there are many within even church trying to get that lifestyle "legitimized" as acceptable behaviour!

Scriptures seem to indicate that sexual sin greater to god, as if one is saved, that commiting that is having jesus directly participating with us in doing that, for we are his living temples!
