Quantum and DHK are consistent and logical and concise. They will say, yes, faith is a natural aptitude.OK....I see their concept of Christ dieing on the Cross as "IMPOTENT"
EWF,
Please elaborate for me HOW one believing that the ability to express faith (of man) emasculates or in any way diminishes God.
Quantum and DHK are consistent and logical and concise. They will say, yes, faith is a natural aptitude.
According to Nonclavinists, He died to level the playing field. He fulfilled the law, and now it no longer stands between us and heaven. All that is required now is one act of righteousness—that of choosing to believe in Jesus. If Faith is a natural aptitude, why did Christ die on the Cross?

You guys have got to quit intentionally misrepresenting our position. This is part of the unkind and arrogant attitude that has been a growing concern.
So that men might put their faith in him and receive the gift of salvation. If Faith is a natural aptitude, why did Christ die on the Cross?
Outright lie, but not unexpected considering the source.According to Nonclavinists, He died to level the playing field. He fulfilled the law, and now it no longer stands between us and heaven. All that is required now is one act of righteousness—that of choosing to believe in Jesus.
Define "natural aptitude". Did man create the ability to have faith, or God? Isn't everything we deem "natural" in actuality all from God?If Faith is a natural aptitude, why did Christ die on the Cross?

So who created the ability to have faith in other objects pre-regeneration?God did...after regeneration
Excuse me but Im asking questions here & you guys are not answering so the brother is answering the way he sees it.....correct him if he is wrong or shut up.
If you have to ask this being on the board as long as you have been, interacting with us, yes you are confused. But Im still confused.....did Christ actively save you by dieing on the cross ie your saved & that all that awaits you is a visit from the HS. After that you want to believe. Or does Christ dieing on the cross function as a token to salvation....now its up to man to save himself by claiming Christ....do you see what Im driving at?
If His death "automatically saves" you have contradicted yourself in stating there can even be a hint at any kind of "process". If it is automatic, by definition (those pesky definition, you know ) there can be no process.See Calvinists believe Christs death automatically saves....then the process begins with regeneration etc. When your regenerated you cant help but want it (to believe, to have faith) so thats when you claim the blood of Christ. There is no sitten around making judgment calls. These are the subtle differences as I see them.
