What part of, "if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law." (Galatians 5:18) did Ellen White did not understand? Did she also do animal sacrifices?

Amen to that! We are not interested in the perverted sabbath gospel of the SDA church that culminates in "salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4)

Who does Alofa Atu think he is fooling? :Cautious We are certainly not buying what he is selling.

She listened to the same seducing spirit that spoke to Joseph Smith, Muhammad, and first to Adam and Eve!

To be led by the Spirit, is the same as John on the Isle of Patmos, who in obedience to the will of God, was honouring God in Keeping the commandments of God, and that includes the 4th commandment, the sabbath commandment, which concerns every day of the week, and that especially the 7th day. The Holy Spirit leads one to the Holy Law of God, even as the Holy Ghost wrote it.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

I've asked this before in one of the other threads on this topic but no one ever answered...

---> In light of Protestant soteriology, if you believe you are saved simply by faith alone, what difference does it make if you go to church on Saturday or Sunday?

---> If you believe that you are saved by faith alone, what difference does it make if you go to church at all? It seems going to church would be the dreaded "works righteousness" that Protestants reject.

If the Sda JUST taught and held that they thought the Sabbath was for them right day to observe, that would be fine, but they make it that ALL saved need to do that!
There are seventh day baptists, but they would not see it as those on Sunday are hell bound!

You didn't answer my questions! I'll make it easier for you!...

---> In light of the Protestant doctrine of sola fide, who cares about Saturday or Sunday?

This is a bit off topic, but...

I understand that the Seventh Day Adventist Church historically believed that the end times would include a mass persecution of Sabbath keepers by Sunday worshippers. Is this accurate? If so, is it a mainstream belief among Adventists today?

In order for YOU to demand that the evidence be found in "Scripture Alone" - YOU must be able to substantiate the man-made doctrine of Sola Scriptura.

When you can do that - then we can have a conversation . . .

Jesus didn't support the 16th century invention of Sola Scriptura because it is one of the "traditions of men" that he condemned (Mark 7:8). Jesus understood that the Word of God came in TWO forms - the WRITTEN and the ORAL.

Here are some Biblical examples that will put the matter to rest . . .

Matt. 2:23 - the prophecy "He shall be a Nazarene" is ORAL TRADITION. It is not found in the Old Testament.
This demonstrates that the Apostles relied upon oral tradition and taught by oral tradition.

Matt 23:2 - Jesus relies on the ORAL TRADITION of acknowledging Moses' seat of authority (which passed from Moses to Joshua to the Sanhedrin). This is not recorded in the Old Testament.

1 Cor. 10:4 - Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the rock following Moses.
It is not recorded in the Old Testament.

2 Timothy 3:8 - Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION when speaking of Pharoah’s magicians, Jannes and Jambres. Their names are not recorded in the Old Testament.

Heb. 11:37 - the author of Hebrews relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the martyrs being sawed in two.
This is not recorded in the Old Testament.

Jude 9 - Jude relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the Archangel Michael's dispute with satan over Moses' body.
This is not found in the Old Testament.

Jude 14-15 - Jude relies on the ORAL TRADITION of Enoch's prophecy which is not recorded in the Old Testament.

So much for your FALSE doctrines . . .

The Jesus said "...But I say unto thee..." (which He did over 130 times), He violated your rule!

Bingo! And by doing that, He violated the Protestant doctrine of sola Scriptura!

If He held to sola Scriptura, the Gospels would merely be accounts of Jesus simply narrating the Old Testament Scriptures. Scripture ALONE. Nothing more.

If he had regard for the traditions of men, he would not have argued with the religious authorities of the day, as well as shunned some of their traditions, such as hand washing. If anything goes-- esteem the tradition or shun the traditions-- God and his requirements of man are what the individuals wants to believe. There should be a standard, then. Is there?

The NT scriptures came directly from Jesus or the Holy Spirit thru the Apostles!
