What is your opinion of Dr. Henry M. Morris?

Morris was the chap who re-invented the creationist view of Genesis back in the 60's.

Sound in theology for some fundamentalists.

I have read a few books, but that is all I know of him.

He argued strongly for the universal flood, which made a lot of people happy. Those of us who held to a local flood didn't bat an eye.

Other than one thing that I know I disagree with him on, I think he's pretty good. But then again, I haven't done any research on him or anything.

*The one thing I disagree with him on is the idea that Jesus' body was a special creation and had no physical parents. I agree that He had no physical father but I disagree that Mary was not His physical mother.

My opinion of him is generally favorable, although I admit I have only read a small portion of what he has written. I have probably read more of his devotional stuff that I have of his more scientific stuff, but my wife has read a lot of his scientific stuff as well and says it's good (she and I both got our Bachelors degrees in the sciences).

I have read a number of Dr. Morris' books and met him at Virginia Tech. I agree with your above statement regarding his view of the incarnation. Incidentally they have moved part of their operation to Dallas.

I personally think they are doing a good work in their creation Science. there are a number of other groups who are working on creation science. More and more scientists are recognizing the flaws of evolution.

I have always believed in a literal interpretation of Gen. so I agree with him. If I can't take Gen. or the first 11 chapters of it as fact, what part can I take of the Bible as fact and how would I know what part that would be?

His book on Revelation was kinda strange. But his book "The Long war against God" is on my top 10 list.

I hold brother Henry Morris in VERY high regard.

During his time on earth as a christian he did a great service for the Body of Christ.

I have his work "Creation and the Modern Christian". It is excellant.

I think Dr. Morris has a valid argument on the creation of Jesus in the womb as opposed to a fertilized egg. There is nothing in scripture either way, so it is all speculation at best, but may satisfy reason.
