JF - such statements as this are often a "trigger" to those enmeshed in the only "sect", as they sincerely believe that the man-made Anglican Version is equally inspired and inerrant with the God-breathed and preserved Greek/Hebrew texts. Their gurus believe the KJV (whichever of the 100 different versions that one may choose) actually CORRECTS the Greek and Hebrew.Inspiration and Inerrancy applies only to the original 66 books of the bible canon
Questions still looking to have answered by those into KJVO are: Which version of the KJV is the perfect translated text, where does that derived inspiration of theirs come from, and why do they disagree with the 1611 translators themselves in how they denied create a perfect and inerrant translation?JF - such statements as this are often a "trigger" to those enmeshed in the only "sect", as they sincerely believe that the man-made Anglican Version is equally inspired and inerrant with the God-breathed and preserved Greek/Hebrew texts. I heard personally one of them question MY salvation, since I was not saved reading one of the AV versions (it was the 1901 ASV).
We have tried to help them, but history on the BB shows most unwilling to even admit THEY had a need and instead try to demonize those of us who defend the precious doctrine of inspiration from such false teaching. Present your arguments to try to enlighten others who read, lest they follow the same pernicious error of blind leaders of the blind.
How do you know this?Inspiration and Inerrancy applies only to the original 66 books of the bible canon
I am KJVO but have stated often that salvation is not about the Bible and reading it by the unsaved but by the preaching of the gospel and the hearing and believing it by the unsaved. The evidence on this forum is those of you who have and/or promote more that 150 versions are more divided and unteachable than the church has ever been. You do not believe the words of any of them and that is the reason you have so many. You acquiese to your teachers who you think are smarter than you and will buy everything they sell. (except one of them saying we don't need another English Bible translation so it wil make understanding easier). Personally I cannot prove anything I believe about God from the original language text because I can't read it. I am aways guilty of comparing scripture with scripture like I am told.JF - such statements as this are often a "trigger" to those enmeshed in the only "sect", as they sincerely believe that the man-made Anglican Version is equally inspired and inerrant with the God-breathed and preserved Greek/Hebrew texts. the Jew at time of Jesus and apostles only received as inspired our OT books, and they always rejected as inspired canon any other booksHow do you know this?
All pretty much agree on what the OT Hebrew text is for today, and the main Greek texts used agree between themselves about 95 %, with differences regarding minor variants, which affect no doctrinesI am KJVO but have stated often that salvation is not about the Bible and reading it by the unsaved but by the preaching of the gospel and the hearing and believing it by the unsaved. Now, you tell me I do not have scripture to compare suggesting that what I have been doing is useless.
I think your sect that accepts everything without question and warns no one is far worse than a sect who believes God can and does speak in more than one language. I think your logic and reasoning is unhealthy.
God has saved millions of sinners without a copy of the scriptures being present but he has never saved a soul without the gospel and some man to preach it.
1 Cor 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Salvation is not about reading, it is about hearing. Sanctification is about reading and study but one must have confidence in what he reads is true.
I don't have any reason to doubt this and I suppose you are right but I would still like to read for myself where they dealt with the issue. Can you help with this? Thanks.the Jew at time of Jesus and apostles only received as inspired our OT books, and they always rejected as inspired canon any other books
You are scaring me a little on this one. Would you not have to be omniscient to know this? All pretty much agree on what the OT Hebrew text is for today, and the main Greek texts used agree between themselves about 95 %, with differences regarding minor variants, which affect no doctrines
