If the flag goes…..should we also do away with….

Statues of Confederate heros ?
Businesses, Hospitals, and Schools. even streets & parks have to change their name ?
Seriously. When will the "sin" of secession be let go of ? Should the south agree to punitive terms like the ones imposed on Germany after WWII ?

And in a related topic, should Ahmerst College change it's name ?

On government property? Yep.

Yep.

When crazed white racists stop waving a treasonous flag and talking about seceding from the US.

Should the south agree to punitive terms like the ones imposed on Germany after WWII ?

Sure, why not?

Yes.

Will all those tattoos that have the confederate flag on them have to be inked over or "removed" next?

Since Zaac's already said he'll never be happy why even try ? He even gives a little credence to ol' Rush's observation.

Let's all raise the money to give a him a one way ticket anywhere in the world. He is so disenchanted with America, it would be doing him a health favor. For some, nothing is sacred any longer.

No we should not. I am concerned that any push toward this end will go a long was into starting a civil war or at least serious unrest. I am concerned also that the extreme far left is working to push such an event through issues like this and issues related to the homosexual agenda. It is unclear why America is not part of the prophecies of scripture in the future, but having this country tore apart because of things like this could certainly be a reason.

I think America is headed for dark times.

Nathan Bedford Forrest (July 13, 1821 - October 29, 1877) was a lieutenant general in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. He is remembered as a self-educated, brutal, and innovative cavalry leader during the war and as a leading Southern advocate in the postwar years. He was a pledged delegate from Tennessee to the New York Democratic national convention of 4 July 1868. He served as the first Grand Wizard (head of movement) of the Ku Klux Klan, but later distanced himself from the organization. Forrest was accused of war crimes at the Battle of Fort Pillow for allowing forces under his command to massacre hundreds of black Union Army and white Southern Unionist prisoners. From Wikipedia but I have more if you like. Now who is Bubba?

Yep. Because those who are supposed to be following Christ aren't loving so wickedness grows.

Keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result.

Bubba is Forrest's buddy. I don't care enough to explain any more. Look it up.

I don't have to defend anything. I'm asking when will enough statues be torn down ? Apparently the answer is a big variable.

Yep, they need to get that statue out of the Capitol Building. Praise God that hopefully, the shedding of light upon this foolishness of "honoring" individuals and things that looked to enslave and oppress a group of people with "monuments" etc, on federal and state properties is rather hypocritical of a nation that calls out others over their human rights violations.

But keeping such monuments in the public consciousness has always been a way for white people to say to Blacks,we don't care if you don't like it. We're gonna do it any way.

I cannot find a reference to a friend named "Bubba" associated with Confederate General Nathaniel Bedford Forrest in any of my American Civil war files, and a Google search provided nothing either. Are you referring to the fictional character in the movie Forrest Gump?

Forrest shouldn't have a statue without Bubba ?

I'm stumped, here.

I'll have to presume you are referring to the fictional character "Bubba" who was portrayed as a less tan intelligent poor black man from the south. He was killed in the Viet Nam war and if he was a real person would be considered a hero. You would like a statue of him along with the slave trader/KKK leader/Confederate General Nathaniel B Forrest? Sounds like someone is drinking again and doin too much Mud Puddle Shuffle.
