Seriously. Every store in our area does not have toiletpaper. As well as papwr towels. I can see papertowels, but, TP . This flu does not attack our digestive tract, it is URI, specifically.

So, let's get some ideas floating as to why the craze for toiletpaper. Winning response, or best explanation wins one new, unwrapped roll of toiletpaper. Not a pachage of TP, but one roll, which seems to be more valuable than gold.

Any thoughts are welcome. Agape my bros and sisters.

Perhaps these people are accustomed to pooping at work and since they spend so much time hiding in the bathroom, they figure they'll need a lot of TP if they are going to hide from work when working from home.

Because the irresponsible media has created mass hysteria.

Besides the invention of the printing press, toilet paper has to be among the top 5 products that improved humanity.

I visited the store for some items yesterday and the both the Coke and the sausage section was empty.

Somehow I can understand the desire for TP far outweighs Coke and sausage.

BTW I’ll sell you a few extra rolls I have for $20 each.

The TP-hoarders may fear an extended quarantine-in-place, and are horrified at the thought of running out. Any parent who has pre-rinsed cloth diapers in the toilet (that dates all such parents :Biggrin) would have no problem coping.

FB had a video showing violence when ONE woman took and put ALL the packages of TP on the shelf into her basket.
She and a couple of comrades pounded, pushed and violently treated anyone trying to retrieve even one roll of the TP.

So ridiculous. What is more ridiculous is that these stores let these people do it.

I just had a colonoscopy two months ago. I found that flushable baby wipes worked great for the preparation the night before the procedure. Was at the store recently--no toilet paper. But guess what? Tons of baby wipes.

I stopped into my local pharmacy to fill a script this afternoon and the couple in front of me was purchasing an extra-large package of tp and two large multipacks of extra-absorbent kitchen towels (just in case they ran out of tp?).

flushable baby wipes

FYI, beware of flushing too many of these if you're on a conventional septic tank system w/drain field, they cling/stick to the walls of the pipes/tank and will eventually clog the whole system up. We use them but don't flush them.
