When some refer to the Universal Church, they are actually referring to the Kingdom. The two are not the same, and the Scriptures never confuse the two.

If we get this right, a lot of things fall into place.
To the general assembly and church - written? Have all the called out of unto, an assembly, been called out at the present to assemble?
Would it be fair to state that those water baptized are the flesh and blood, corruptible, the church, who are given the Spirit by which she, the church, can be quickened, that is, born again as spiritual flesh and bone, incorruptible, to inherit the kingdom of God?
Thus; The gates of Hades shall not prevail against her.
O death, where thy sting? O Hades where thy victory?
