Which Republican Party won the midterms?

The past 2 years the Republicans in the House proposed many, many new pieces of legislation. Harry Reid and the Democrats quashed them. They were the party of No. All the Republicans need to do is dust off the bills Harry Reid shelved and reintroduce them. When they get passed by Congress, Obama will veto them and everyone will then know that the Dems are the party of No.
I see crabby is still suffering from PTED (Post Traumatic Election Disorder)
Send one of these Reid-rejected bills to Obama's desk each week. For as long as it takes to get through them all.
Too bad no one will address the OP. Which branch of the GOP was elected mid-term?
We may not know until 100 days after the beginning of the new Congress.
Why do you assume that a branch was elected?
Seems to me that the GOP did as well as they did because people are fed up with the Democrats and Obama.

Without a majority in either chamber of Congress the President won't be able to do a thing, except executive orders. There is nothing for the Republicans to oppose the President over, since there won't be any initiatives coming from the White House. Also, this idea that the GOP is split is probably a moot point now that they control both chambers. It really wasn't a factor in the Senate. I don't know how many of the new GOP House members are Tea Partiers.
So there is nothing to address. The premise of the OP is flawed. The Republicans are not the party of No anymore (I concede you could hang that label on them from 2010-2012) and the President can't start any legislative initiatives so they won't be opposing him.

The GOP dropped the ball when they had the chance to eviscerate Obamacare as a bill.
Then they insulted the Republic by going on strike as it were and shut down the government. Which gave them paid vacations and harmed our military, our citizens, and the image of our nations legislative branch in the eyes of the world.
Now that they control the house and senate they have to grow up. Which party won? The GOP won the midterm.Two authors of an article in the Washington Post hope to divide a nation based on a stupid question? Turning the GOP on itself? Who do they work for? They're Liberal!
What will they, the elected GOP, do to be a better example of Republicans to the majority citizens of this Republic so as to have warranted being elected to that majority? That is the actual question.

There are liberal, moderate and conservative factions in both parties.
In addition some Congressmen vote as a block when a project is good for their individual State/Commonwealth.

Unlike the democrat party which has the black branch, the hispanic branch, the looney left branch, the looney hollywood branch, and the super rich branch the Republican Party has only one Branch, the American Branch.

So true. How would we even arrive at an answer to the OP question? One registers as Republican, Democrat, or Independent.
It's not a matter of degrees that can be tallied. Moderates, ultra-right, etc...
As long as we control the house and the senate, that is what should matter.

The American people voted to repudiate the evil philosophy of the Democrats and to stop Obama from destroying the republic. The Democrats lost all of the coal mining areas of the country, including horrific losses in southern Indiana (a fact that did not make national news).
Even deep blue states such as Illinois and Maryland installed GOP governors.
The Democrats have been rebuked for their evil intentions and evil programs.
If Obama tries to give citizenship to millions of illegals, he will find himself in court immediately.
The Democrats should dump Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and get some human beings in their place.
The party that will try to over ride the six years of bumbling foreign affairs, and our struggling economy won! If they don't make some head way in two years, the other party may once again be back in charge.
Americans want real change, not just the sound of change jingling in the pant pockets, or at the bottom of the purse.
Why not be honest and say the GOP has the White branch. You cut out everyone else ... or is it that blacks and Hispanics are not Americans even if they have legal citizenship?

The other is considered a Weak Liberal, was defeated by a Republican who appears to be a strong conservative.
