    First, Roy, do you qualify?

    Do you weigh 280 pounds?

"Why couldn't God just have said, "your lost" and went and presented His plan to Mary's sister? BTW, God didn't ask Mary if she wanted to bear Jesus, He told her she would."
    "
That's why I used "in a sense", she could have said:"No way!" and God could have gone looking for another woman, or simply pressed the issue.

    More importantly.
Roy, can you say: "FORNICATION is a grievous sin!" in such a way that the big negro woman at the back of church goes:"uh.huh" in agreement?

I think it is unusual for Dave Hunt to even call someone besides himself a BELEVER, period.

She could have said "No Way!" until the cows come home. She still would have found herself pregnent with Jesus. God didn't ask her, He told her.

I take it that you are a big admirer of Aunt Esther, you know from the tv show Sanford and Son.

Abortion, my friend abortion, it wasn't invented in the 19th century. It's so much easier to get someone who voluntarily coöperates.

    Roy
I'm only familiar with Steptoe and Son on which Sanford and son was apparently based.
When I read baptist pope, I get a vision of a fine Southern gentleman of experience and distinction in a beautiful (maybe sllightly tacky) white suit preaching fire and brimstone on a hot sunday afternoon in a tastefull but sober white churchbuilding. And there are those huge black women among the audiance in summer dresses with flowers and polka dots on them who go uh.huh in agreement every time he makes a point.

1Co 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. (KJV)

ICor 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am a Southern Baptist; and I am an independent fundementalist; and I am of John Wesley; and I of the Church of Christ. (AMAPV...Artimaeus' Making A Point Version)

Even those who were calling themselves "of Christ" were wrong because they were using it as a divisive tactic. Who will be the next "star" who will draw followers and admirers to themselves is unimportant to me.

This is silly. If God can get Mary pregent without her wishing he sure can keep her from aborting. BTW, what is "easier" for God mean?
