My God is bigger and better than that. He is not petty, weak, or unforgiving to some and forgiving toward others.
Perhaps you should share your God! The GOD I worship is the One revealed in the Bible!

The God you serve doesn't work that way? What gives you the right to put limits on GOD? Sheer arrogance! QUOTE]
I have no idea what you read into what I wrote, but the God I serve is the God of the Bible, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, immutable, and able to save everyone IF they would only come to Him.
I said that THAT God, MY God, does not refuse to save anyone. He does not pick and choose who he will and will not save EXCEPT through His foreknowledge of who will call on Him for salvation--His offer is to "whosoever will."
I was reputing the false belief that God's atonement is limited. God's atonement is offered to EVERYONE, and NO one is refused. God has NO limits, His love, grace, or mercy are unlimited except for our belief or lack thereof.
Then you need to thank GOD daily that HE chose you to salvation before the Foundation of the World. Not only that but GOD the Son agreed before the Foundation of the World to take upon Himself the form of man and pay the penalty for your sin and mine. Furthermore, GOD the Holy Spirit also before the Fpundation of the World agreed to apply the Cross-work of Jesus Christ to you as one of GOD's chosen, regenerate you and gave you the faith to believe. This has all been done in your life even if you are unable to acknowledge that truth!
When confronted with the Doctrine of Sovereign Grace in Salvation those who lold the doctrines of Pelagianism, semi-Pelagianism, Arminianism, or Freewillism like to fall back to Scripture such as the following:
John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Revelation 22:17. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
I would appreciate those who hold the above Freewill doctrines showing how the Doctrine of Sovereign Grace in Salvation is contrary to the above passage or contradicts any other passage they use to defend their beliefs!
You are unable to explain Olegig's simple questions in your own words, are you? I believe if he wanted a book, he could pull one off the shelf. The Covenant of Grace
The doctrine of the Sovereign Grace of God in Salvation is clearly expressed in the Covenant of Grace. This Covenant, an eternal covenant, is best understood as a covenant in which the three Divine Persons in the Godhead co-operate in man’s salvation [Psalms 2:8; 40: 6-8; 59:3; Isaiah 49: 3-12; John 17:6; Hebrews 13:20; Titus 1:2] and is summarized as follows:
And OR's book continues. I wonder who will really take the time to read it?
Is thinking for oneself a lost art??
Those who don't think for themselves transgress the command of God.Below are a couple of paragraphs I posted on the following thread:

It demonstrates the danger to those who believe that thinking for themselves in matters of religion is preferable to relying on the Revelation of GOD.
Lots of massaging and ignoring the scripture going on. God is so sovereign, He can save whosoever. Freewill does not limit God, because it was God that gave that freewill. There are some who limit God by saying he can only save a few and not all. They say that Jesus only died for an elect few even though Jesus says He died on the cross for all men. Only those who choose to accept the gift of grace and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be saved. By doing this they become the elect and God has predestined His Will for these elect even before the beginning of the world.
I do not have to prove this because it all ready is proven in the Gospel. It is the Gospel that is written in the Word of God. Just read it and open your hearts God will provide the Spirit to show you that He does not will for any to perish and that all should come into repentance.
God is so sovereign that He made man in His image and gave man freewill. God abides by His Word. Anyone who says that God only chose a few when His Word say His Son died for all, has to be ignoring parts of the Bible and massaging parts that they do read or they just do not understand the scripture or chooses not to believe all of God's Word. (I guess that is a form of freewill)
My Prayers are with those who believe God is not capable of saving whosoever and that whosoever could be all if they choose life over death.
P.S. writing it in red over and over still doesn’t make it say anything different than what God means for it to say.
OldRegular, are you telling me that my God chose who would go to Hell?
olegig said:Your C/P seems to be saying something to the effect that before the foundation of the world God chose who would be placed in Christ.
IMHO this goes completely against the nature of God in that it would also require God to be choosing who would go to Hell simply by default.
Those who don't think for themselves transgress the command of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
A four year old can copy and paste.
Revelation 17:8 -
The beast that thou sawest was , and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder , whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was , and is not, and yet is .
Revelation 20:15 - And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:27 - And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth , neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
It'll be very interesting to watch how those who deny God His sovereign right to choose His people will say that these words do not really mean He chose whom He would from before the foundation of the world.
