We Have a Winner!

They're all wrong. It should be "worst" enemy, not "worse" enemy.

Just thought I would edit your post since your wife wasn't able to.

You seem to award yourself too much in credibility to carryout a service which requires a somewhat different aire about the way you are doing this.

I suppose the "shoe" which fits yourself is the one wherewith all knowledge will perish with your passing unless we all subscribe to your intelligence.

Harold and Ed,

May I please make an extremely simple and usually over-looked statement? Christ said that we would be known by our love for one another. I have no degrees, very little higher education, and could not possibly begin to keep pace with either of you when it comes to grammatical accuracy and proper phrasing. We must remember that we are not our own. We may correct each other in love all day and it must be done in that manner. I do tire of defending my faith against KJVO's in my family. Do I condemn them for being KJVO? Certainly not. Why should it be then that I am condemned? Is it a matter of being uneducated on the background and history of translations? Is it a conviction that is deeply rooted as one works out their own salvation with fear and trembling? Perhaps it is merely the act of taking up a contrary position to defend one's tradition. I'm quite sure it's different with each individual. No matter. We are required by 1 Peter 3:15 to always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us with meekness and fear (KJV), or gentlness and respect, if you will. If we can't do this with each other, how can we do this with the world? I mean no disrespect to either of you. I love you both and respect you're opinions on the topics discussed. It is my hope that we may all remember that among the fruits of the spirit, the greatest of these is love.

Peace to you both,

Rlee

"'Which' variant would you prefer that I should mention, for the first incidence?

Would it be the actual 'proper' grammatical error, the poor phrasing elsewhere, or the adjective in a subsequent sentence? ;)

I do thank you for the offer of the dolls, however I shall pass your generous offer for 3 reasons similar to the ones below, along with a few others of like kind.

Incidentally, the pics, while not of our own cats, are very close in appearance to four of our own 'house' cats, the names (or nicknames) of which, respectively are 'Baby Boy', Shemp, 'Itch', and one who is very appropriately dubbed 'Monster'. 'Baby Boy' would actually carry off the dolls, and hide them, if he were able to get his mouth on them in a manner sufficient to carry them, provided that 'Monster' had not already knocked them off wherever they might have been situated, breaking them in the process, if they should happen to be the 'porcelain' type. If they were perchance the 'rubber' type, Shemp would likely chew a hole in them.

No doubt, you can now understand the reason(s) I must pass on your very generous offer."
