>Theory of the origin of the soul? Read Genesis 2:7- "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."NKJV

God takes a handful of dust, blows on it, and inserts the results into the woman's womb? Then you subscribe to the creationist theory? God manufactures a new soul for every person?

If you are TRYING to say that every human inherits this soul somehow in his DNA, then you might be traducian.

Bill, you keep asking this question. Why don't you tell us your position?

>I would really like to know on what you base your opinions, because it ain't the Bible.

Neither is any other theory of the origin of the soul specified in the Bible. Is the official Baptist theory creationist or traducian?

I am claiming nothing more than that the soul is bestowed upon man by God. I base that claim on Genesis 2:7.

Tell us your view, creationist or traducian? Why or how does it justify your position on abortion? Why does a baby have a soul based on location (in utero/ ex utero)? If you do not answer, one must assume you cannot.

And . . .

Why are you guys feeding the troll?

billwald's position is clear. A million children murdered each year reduces the threat to his livelyhood, and if he has a shred of conscience yet unseared, he is salving that by casting doubt upon the biblical record.

Why do we need Planned Parenthood? To weed out undesirables and reduce the surface population.

I thought I have - several times. I am not good at communicating with ESL people, those who don't communicate in plain english. "Baptist" is not my native tongue.

My position with respecting the origin of the human soul is the creationist position. God creates a new soul for every person at their birth. Is that sufficiently clear?

The Creationist position is creation of the soul at conception, not birth. Children in the first trimester can feel pain, and have thoughts. In the second trimester they can dream.

Killing a baby is evil. Your position is sick.

Only if all poetry is fictional. What say you?

I say you have no respect for Scripture. None whatsoever.

To throw out God's view of the unborn by branding it "poetic license" is a mockery of His word. But I guess when you hold patently evil and unbiblical positions, you've gotta do something to clear your conscience (giving you the benefit of the doubt here).

If I did what you did, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Interesting how liberals get insulting when they know they've no real logic to their position.

I know facts don't matter to some, but Planned Parenthood does not receive federal funding for abortions. That would violate federal law.

From HERE:

Planned Parenthood receives approximately $300 million from the federal government, Rovner says, an amount that includes not only funds for the Title X family planning program but also Medicaid funds and support for the Maternal and Child Health block grant program. Federal funds cannot be used to provide abortion services, notes Rovner.

This is a ridiculous argument. That's like paying for a murderer's house, utilities, and food, knowing that they are using it for murder, and then saying that we are not "aiding and abetting," because we didn't buy his knives!

We are ABSOLUTELY paying for abortion...if Planned Parenthood was stripped of federal funds, they would go under. Right now, they are actually in court for fraud (if memory serves) against the federal government, for bilking the taxpayers out of 160 million dollars.

The other services they perform could easily be absorbed by other agencies; NO WOMAN would go without cancer screenings and such, if Planned Parenthood was defunded; THAT is the fact.

Good Christians I have met would rather spend tens of thousands to adopt a Chinese or any foreign baby than adopt an African-American baby. In Washington State one is almost paid to adopt minority kids.

No, women do not have abortions in order to help reduce the national debt. It is an unintended consequence of women having abortions.

I have some experience in trying to adopt an American born baby. The system in my state made it extremely difficult to do so and almost as costly.

Do they receive any state funding for abortions if the state in question provides it?
No matter what kind of funding, do they give information of where to go get an abortion and how to get it paid for?
If the state in question does not provide abortion funds, do they ever furnish information about crossing state lines to get a 'better deal?'
