You come across like you are the ultimate authority on the subject
when most of what you post is simply copying
and pasting the writings of other people who agree with you.
We have an example of where this is an unmitigated disaster, below.
I accept and believe the KJV as what it actually is.
The problem quote below presents the KJV as a worthless junk
piece of Null & Void godforsaken trash.
Your opinion is incorrect.
I have made many positive assertions concerning the KJV.
Just because I can't recall one...
I post proven and true statements as facts.
Scriptural truths and documented historical facts are not opinions.
As in other cases, if you think the following quote below
is any representation of where you:
"post proven and true statements as facts.
Scriptural truths and documented historical facts"
etc., there is a huge issue, by
"copying and pasting the writings of other people who agree with you."
It is sound and right to state that non-true claims
and accusations are non-true.
Then that's what I'll do.
The poster fails to demonstrate
that I stated something that was not true.
O.K.
I am supposed to be wrong for stating the truth.
Not, if so.
Here's the major rub:
Followers of Christ are not instructed to assume unproven assertions
based on fallacies, to lean on their own understanding or opinions,
to believe assertions that are not true, and to follow traditions of men.
Here's the problem quote. Sounds 'good enough'.
No one else has made a hiccup concerning it, after several days.
Baptist pastor Glenn Conjurske wrote:
"If God himself were to place this moment a perfect translation
in the hands of his church, and command every saint to use that version only,
upon pain of death, this would not solve a single practical or theological question
which now unsettles the church.
Ahhhh. With or without God Himself
providing an Original Autographed copy, i.e.,
even in the event of having already provided sufficient copies
more perfect than humanly possible, to be in our hands,
The Word of God CAN DO ANYTHING.
Accompanied by The Holy Spirit, The Holy Bible CAN DO ANYTHING,
(apart from its self-imposed restrictions, such as lie, etc.).
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12.
"For the word of God is quick,"
alive, experience God's gift of life,
"and powerful",
effective, productive of due result, at work, effectual
"and is a discerner" critical, able to judge or discern
"of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THAT IT IS ALIVE AND PRODUCTIVE
AND THAT IT IS THE BIBLE THAT IS THE CRITIC OF ITS CRITICS.
"BEHOLD, I Am the God of all flesh,
is ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?"
Jeremiah 32:27.
THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND EFFECTIVE TOWARD
ANYTHING IT IS POINTED AT, AS SOON AS THE COVER IS CRACKED!!
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life."
John 6:63.
"So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My Mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:11.
It would not make Calvinists Arminians
The Word of God has made innumerable Arminians into Calvinists.
By reading it and being Enabled to Receive its Content.
nor the amillennialists premillennialists.
No one is looking for an Ahmillennialist to go anywhere, Bible or not,
The Word of God has made
innumerable premillennialists into amillennialists.
(I am one and thrilled to have been blessed thereby)
By reading it and being Enabled to Receive its Content.
It would not move the women to give up their jewelry,
not the mean their ball games.
The Word of God Saves, Sanctifies, and Delivers,
day in, day out, 24/7/365.
It would, in fact, leave us just exactly where we are today.
NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER
FROM THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD.
THIS STATEMENT IS SUPERNATURALLY EVIL.
Many today of course believe that the King James Version is perfect,
but if they are honest they must candidly acknowledge
that the advent of the King James Version never solved a single doctrinal
or practical difficulty in the church"
(Olde Paths and Ancient Landmarks, July, 1996, p. 161).
"Many today of course believe that the King James Version is perfect,"
but if anyone like that is here today, "Baptist pastor Glenn Conjurske"
is going to have to come off with some better results of an investigation than:
Because to say, "that the advent of the King James Version
never solved a single doctrinal or practical difficulty in the church"
NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER
FROM THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD.
THIS STATEMENT IS SUPERNATURALLY EVIL.
And right over the borderline into insanity.
I believe that, I HOPE, I will not be found
just willy-nilly quoting anybody that 'sounds good'
and wind up promoting a true enemy of The Faith, as in this instance.
"Baptist", or not.
"Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matthew 7:7.
• It carried the Gospel to every country in the world.
• European explorers brought the KJV to the new world on ships.
• For years the King James
was the only reading primer for millions of schoolchildren.
• Many learned to read English using the KJV.
• Pioneers carried it in covered wagons across America.
• American presidents take the oath of office with their hand on the KJV.
• Soldiers took pocket copies of the KJV into both World Wars.
• In courtrooms thousands have sworn
to “tell the whole truth” with their hand resting on a KJV.
• Verses from the KJV are chiseled into church buildings
and university structures all over the English-speaking world.
"With great respect and gratitude, The Christian Chronicle
recognizes the incredible, worldwide influence of the King James Version
on its 400th birthday."
