the lords day
We celebrate the Lords day on Sunday because all protestant chruches originate from Catholic church. The Catholic Church switch to Sunday because of the Lord's resurection though very early on in the church there was debate between the chruches. The western churches changed to sunday. This type of thing also happened with easter. The western churches went with what we have today rather than the passover which was typically practiced in the eastern churches. The churches agreed to disagree for a time. Though you will probably hear all sorts of stuff about the sun god ect and Constantine.
