Featured Why God the Father Is Not Invisible

None can see God the Father until we get to heaven though!

 

He seems to be sounding more akin to how Mormonism sees God!

 

The father is immaterial Spirit!

 

The Father and the Spirit have no bodily form, as both are Spirit!

 

in heaven I think that we will see the Great Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Though I could well be wrong, as I know not of any Bible verse to say that we will see The Three Persons.

 

I do not know of any either! maybe Jesus will be the eternally visible Image of the Invisible God to us?

 

What about this?

"And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him: And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads." (Rev 22:3-4)

"the Throne" of God and the Lamb, in the Greek is singular, as are "Him" and "His". Not the One Person, as the Greek is "ου θεου και του αρνιου". But, their Reign is joint, which removes any notion of any "subordination" of Jesus to the Father, post Incarnation. In Rev 14:1, we read, "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's Name written in their foreheads.".

And, Job 19:26, "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God", "See", is "châzâh", which is, "to behold with the eyes"!

Numbers 12:8, "With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" "temûnâh", for "appearance, likeness, form"

 

And, Isaiah 6:1, 5, "In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of His robe filled the temple...for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

 

John 6:46, "not that anyone has seen the Father except He who is from God; He has seen the Father."

"εωρακεν", does not mean that no one will ever see the Father, but, that no one has seen Him...

Exodus 24:9-11, "Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness. And he did not lay his hand on the chief men of the people of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank."

 

I think that was the preincarnate Jesus!

 

Were they seeing Jesus there, or were they seeing more of His glory, and not Himself?
