Why is "eternal security" a big deal?

Do you really think that you can control and decide that the Bible is limited to your chosen possible options???? Do you really think that because Stanley or some other uninspired man does not regard mental problems due to age that A and B cannot both be correct in that area and thus your absolute dichotomy between A and B is set in concrete????

You are not interested in the truth but in causing confusion and dividing and conqueroring. You are just another opponent to the gospel trying to play silly mind games that are complete side issues and that do not disprove OSAS at all.

All three position are united in the very thing you are attempting to deny and that is no true child of God can lose their salvation.

You won't enter into any debate on the real issue because you already know you will not fare well.

Back to the OP. Why is eternal security a big deal? Because it is the acid test of the true gospel and those who deny it either (1) are theologically deficient in regard to that aspect of the gospel or (2) embrace a false gospel.

No true Christian mentally comprehends the full theological nature of the gospel when they are first saved nor ever will in this life as one can continue to grow in knowledge of their salvation all through their earthly life and most likely still be growing in knowledge in heaven as only God is Omniscient.

However, no person can be saved who embraces "another gospel" which is the "bad news" of CONDITIONAL eternal life. The true gospel is the good news of unconditional ETERNAL life by faith in Christ simply because Christ has already satisfied all conditions for eternal life fully.

The "good news" is that Christ's works obtain eternal life in our behalf through faith and all conditions for that eternal life have been fully and forever satisfied by Christ and by Christ alone WITHOUT OUR WORKS whether good or bad works. Our works whether good or bad have no bearing on eternal life but only in regard to our present measure of experiencing that life here and now and rewards to come.

salvation is based upon the work of God to redeem the sinner, rooted in the Cross of Christ!

God sent forth His son, ahd him die for sins of those to be Saved, sent His Spirit to seal us unto salvation..

translated us from kingdom of satan to that of His Son...

can man undo what God has done?
