Why The Second Amendment?

Please post where I claimed a person can carry a warship. Thank you.

Your post #76 where you responded to my question on whether or not you DISAGREED with Reynolds' claim that a private citizen owning a waship fell into the catagory of "keep and BEAR Arms", you said "No" you do not Disagree.

And since you previously equated BEARING arms with CARRYING arms in your post #73, its plain that your position is that one can "carry"(BEAR) a warship, but can not Carry (bear) a nuke.

Again, please explain the difference.

Go back and read it again. And look up what granting "Letters of Marque and Reprisal" was all about.

I did, and it is certainly NOT about the 2nd ammendment allowing private citizens to own artillary and warships but not Nukes, (As both you and Reynolds have been arguing is the case ) it is about granting a reprieve from what would otherwise be piracy.

Next?

Saint: Letters of Marque were commonly issued by many governments other than the US in the 17th and 18th Century. And we used privateers up through the War of 1812. The point is the regulation of the private ownership of warships was already covered without the 2nd Amendment.

Thats all well and Good... Still doesnt answer for why TC claims one can't BEAR a Nuke, or what in the second ammedment he believes precludes Citizens from owing personal Nukes.

He may not want people to own them, and may prefer that government regulate away peoples inherent constitutional freedom and liberty TO own them, but He still hasn't made a valid case why he believes the Constitution prohibits it.

If that helps you fell better about evading me when I press you to support your claims, I'll have one made and give it to you personally!
You really can't understand that if the main body of the Constitution addresses something there is no need for it to be included in an amendment? It is already the law of the land?

I have told you several times. A Nuke is too heavy to carry (bear).

, or what in the second ammedment he believes precludes Citizens from owing personal Nukes.
You can't carry it. The 2nd amendment reads "keep AND bear."

He still hasn't made a valid case why he believes the Constitution prohibits it.
As I have said several times, it is too heavy to BEAR (carry).
