Will Jesus succeed at uniting all things to himself?

Of course. In my experience all the scripture in the world won't budge the vast majority of Chritians from their doctrine that Jesus tortures people forever in Hell.

It is a subtle point, but just for the record, I do not believe that Jesus has a foot on the head of those in torment holding them in Hell … the locks on the gates of Hell were broken in AD 33 when Jesus led the captives free. Those still languishing in Hell do so because Hell is the only place they can hide from the presence of God:

Genesis 3:8 [YLT] And they hear the sound of Jehovah God walking up and down in the garden at the breeze of the day, and the man and his wife hide themselves from the face of Jehovah God in the midst of the trees of the garden.

John 3:19-20 [YLT] 'And this is the judgment, that the light hath come to the world, and men did love the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil; for every one who is doing wicked things hateth the light, and doth not come unto the light, that his works may not be detected;

Hebrews 10:26-31 [YLT] For we -- willfully sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth -- no more for sins doth there remain a sacrifice, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery zeal, about to devour the opposers; any one who did set at nought a law of Moses, apart from mercies, by two or three witnesses, doth die, of how much sorer punishment shall he be counted worthy who the Son of God did trample on, and the blood of the covenant did count a common thing, in which he was sanctified, and to the Spirit of the grace did despite? for we have known Him who is saying, 'Vengeance [is] Mine, I will recompense, saith the Lord;' and again, 'The Lord shall judge His people;' -- fearful [is] the falling into the hands of a living God.

Hell is the self-inflicted choice of those who willfully reject their CREATOR.
Without God’s hand to restrain Man’s dark proclivities, we are free to spiral to demonic depths of darkness unhindered, fleeing the light for the “PLACE OF DARKNESS”.

It is God's will that ALL THINGS be united in Jesus and then given over to himself forever. Mainstream Christianity teaches that God doesn't get what God wants and that Jesus FAILS his mission.

I believe otherwise. What do you believe?

I also believe otherwise. All things are united in Him. This is why those who remain wicked will perish.

Think of making a gold ring. You refine the metal and burn out all the impurities. If the metal contains no gold it perishes. If it contains gold that which is not hold perishes and you have gold.

Wrong. It is what the spirit of Devil says. What matters and prevails is the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD-John 1:1. The Word says: 1Corinthians 15:24- The END cometh when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to GOD, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all ENEMIES under His feet. ->(But the Devil says:-> ""ALL enemies have freely chosen to follow him"" ->(JESUS said: JOHN 8:44:-> 44 Ye are of your father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the Truth, because there is no Truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.. ->(Revelation 6:8->8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was DEATH, and Hell followed with him.
