And that decision would haunt you for the rest of your life!! No idea of the trauma it would cause you to know you just took the life of a human being for whom the Lord Jesus died for:type: Is it the spirit of Cain that tells you to "put two" inside the human?? Or the spirit of Christ?? No remorse for putting "two" in his chest??
Let me rephrase that..took the life of a thief plotting to do my neighbor harm. I think I could live with it.

With the trial portion at its end and the jury ready to take over, I couldn't help but notice that the city and state are gearing up to not only prevent riots, but a plan to take quick action if riots do break out!!

So, where do you stand as a believer, when it comes to this trial, the verdict, and possible riots?

I sure hope we learned after Rodney King and the massive riots that followed. The National Guard was called and it was chaos in many places. Stores were closed and. I was a young boy but I remember it all.

If Zimmerman is acquitted, which I doubt will happen, I imagine there will be riots. It seems that much of the black community gets a kick out of rioting and burning down things when they don't get their way, like a spoiled child. However, like an ignorant child they usually burn down their own neighborhoods, so there is an up side.

You can say that again, however I would not classify all blacks as the same. I remember I had a black roommate that often failed to pay me rent, stole my food, and once stole some money from my wallet. He tried to play dumb and then tried to use racism as a excuse for his behaviors. I remember his brother coming to my place and staying for a while and refusing to pay rent or give me anything. I remember he blasted his horrible rap music in the residence a d I politely asked him to stop, and then he had a hissy fit on how I was racially discriminating him and the like because I would not tolerate his horrible rap music and the like.

It was difficult but legally I finally got rid of him and his brother from living RENT free in my place. The guy was a complete liar and would tell me he would pay rent but never did. I never recovered the money that he stole however. But getting rid of him was a great breeze! My mistake was that I was too easy-going and too soft on the turkey at first. But after he stole the money from my wallet and refused to pay it back my patience had run out and I no longer was Mr. Nice guy.

Sadly, I witnessed this time and time again in the 1960's (I'm older than most of you). The mindset of "the man is oppressing us" has been pushed on generations of Blacks. They are conditioned, like Pavlov's training, to respond.

Unlike ever other minority group, their negative response to such outcome (and I pray that the innocent finds justice) is to use it as an excuse to loot and seek personal gain. Nothing to do with a trial or race, simply an excuse for lawless behavior.

Justice and truth are never the issue; it is an ingrained "we deserve more" mentality of the welfare state that will surface. A dear Black Baptist brother and I had coffee the other day and he lamented that the action will probably be in MANY Black-majority communities, not just Sanford, FL. We prayed together about this.

Worse? If a jury, fearing such rioting, votes to wrongfully convict. You will see another "gloat fest" like when OJ killed his wife and got away with it (though his true colors came out in subsequent evil). Mob mentality.

In that event I am glad I am no longer living in SC. Lots of blacks out there and if there were riots they may happen there.

Totally agree. Let the facts and verdict as it may based on the case. We should have gotten past that decades ago. What does burning someone's property down and killing innocents have to do with the two individuals involved in this unfortunate incident?

So then, you're against self defense?

It seems that a lot of folks have stories that have soured them on black folks. And it tends to prejudice their judgments somewhat when any situation involving black people arises.

I would imagine that's what happened with George Zimmerman and he criminalized in his mind a young man whom he knew nothing about based upon his past experiences.

We continue to reap what we have sowed regarding exploitation of the masses. We did it to the Africans, Amerinds and Chinese coolies, etal

Love of money is still the root of all evil.

We need to repent with sackcloth and ashes.

We sure do. God's word speaks to favoritism/prejudice. And until we acknowledge that we do it, there will be no repentance. Just a bunch of folks who continue in their prejudiced ways because they feel justified in doing so because of past experiences of themselves or family members.

Why do we still have black churches and white churches?:BangHead:

Most of it can be traced to unforgiveness and past prejudices rooted in what someone did to us or someone we know.

I always tell folks, if you're worshiping in truth and spirit and preaching God's word, I can come worship with you no matter what your skin color. You could be pink with a horn on your head and polka dots running down your back. But if you're preaching Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected, i can come in and worship with ya.

Human kind is racist by nature--it is part of our depravity.

I don't believe that is true as God did not put that in man when He created us. Man has certainly developed a certain degree of prejudice that's become engrained in generation to generation.

Only Jesus can make it right.

So true.

Pray for peaceful demonstrations.:laugh::laugh:

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Well we will find out soon if there will be riots. As of 10pm Saturday evening, eastern time, Zimmerman has been found Not Guilty.

I think that was clearly the only option, the prosecution had no case.

Did anyone else see the posters from "revcom.us" in the background of the outdoor shots after the verdict?

Google it.

Al Sharpton is already calling for the DOJ to reopen the case. He won't be happy until we have an all out race war.

I went to revcon.com, and saw a poster with someone who looked vaguely similar to Zimmerman. Is that what you are referring to?

Sharpton can take a long walk off a really short pier...

Sadly I am worried about what DOJ may do. They've been supporting the Martin side since this all kicked off. Heck they bussed down protestors to Florida for the case I heard!
