Seems many large gatherings are canceling events over the virus......will you be having church at home instead?

Oh no!

"All students living in Southern Seminary and Boyce College dorms will be required to vacate no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15."

[remainder of the semester to be conducted remotely (online)]

"We are taking these actions in light of requests from our state government and, in particular, from our governor."

That, as I understand the post you are seemingly answering, is not being referenced. Yes, early assemblies met in the homes of members. What was being referenced was the modern practice of doing "church" in your own home individually or as a family not as a meeting of your ekklesia."
Ok, and where did the original assemblies meet?

Thing is when first infected, you are not really aware your sick, and your producing a lot of viruses early on in the infection. So you will be putting people at significant risk of dying if they are older in the church. And of course your at risk bringing it home to your family too. The concept to be pursued is social distancing to slow down the spread of the disease..

Study highlights ease of spread of COVID-19 viruses
COVID-19 can be spread before it causes symptoms, when it produces symptoms like those of the common cold, and as many as 12 days after recovery, according to a virologic analysis of nine infected patients published today on the preprint server medRxiv.

Virus concentrates quickly, sheds efficiently
Led by researchers in Germany, the virologic study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, found that the novel coronavirus quickly begins producing high viral loads, sheds efficiently, and grows well in the upper respiratory tract (nose, mouth, nasal cavity, and throat).

I will attend Church services if I am healthy and stay home if I am sick ... just like any other virus or Flu season.

Bottom line, if you structure your life around the fear.of getting sick, you will be paralyzed.

This is “cold virus 19” There is much we don’t know, but there is much we do. No need to panic just yet.

peace to you

It is not about fear, it is about stopping the virus from spreading. If you can stop people from getting together tightly, and do it long enough, the virus will just die out in about a month. China enforced a quarantine and succeeded. Italy is now doing the same thing. In China they could not depend on people to self quarantine, so they forced them. I recall seeing video of people being forcibly taken to hospitals against their will. Here in US, I have read of people breaking self imposed isolation to go to school events and meetings, when they are positive for covid -19, which s very irresponsible of them.
Our church has closed for the next 2 weeks. All events-meetings cancelled.

Is it or should it be a crime to knowingly being sick with a pandemic or highly contagious deadly virus and exposing yourself to the public deliberately?
