Life is a long lesson in humility. James Barrie

And if we don't learn it now, heaven is going to be a real shock!

Tim is my hero!! :wavey:

Hey - just remember, I don't drink! :D

AND I've never once told someone that they should OR that "just one wouldn't hurt". Remember, I work with college students. I tell them it's not worth starting.....

It is clear by the hatred and judgmentalism of the legalists here that their fruits of the Spirit have fermented....

Calling people names, calling mature Christians "Childish" just because they differ in interpretation of scripture, while all the while repeating over and over as if it will make it true, "God demands abstinence" Are true signs of immature Christians....

Divorce yourselves from the culture you live in, and read the Bible the way it is written... (oh, btw, learn some things about jewish culture in the OT times as well.)

Just 6 more pages until this intoxicating thread is put out of it's misery...

I was not calling annsni childish because of her interpretation of Scripture, I said she was acting childish in the way she was posting long sentences by posting one or two words in each post to stretch the posts out in order for the thread to close quicker. She was acting childish. That is how a child acts.

If she doesn't agree with Scripture, all she has to do is say so and leave it at that.

Disagreeing with clear command of Scripture concerning alcohol and disobeying the command to abstain is not childish... it is foolish.

Yes, I said foolish.

tim,

If you don't like the thread and the truth of Scripture to abstain from alcohol, you can go post in another thread instead of throwing stumbling blocks in front of others.

Oh - I completely agree with Scripture - with ALL that it actually says.

And that's childish?? I guess you haven't been on boards too long. I've seen that LOTS of times. :D

According to the Poll, there is a small bunch who feel drinking alcohol is a sin. It appears SFIC and Linda64 are the only one's standing up for this belief. That's interesting.

The problem is is when people add their cultural opinions to Scripture.
