So now SFIC is a liar, too. He stated he called no-one a fool in post 325...then in post 392 he says those that don't believe as he are fools.

That would be wonderful..

But the SFICs of the Christian world will never rest until they can prove they are holier than everyone else...

This of course drives people away.
And sending people to Hell.

You're right, of course. How many people do you think will show up in church tomorrow if they read this thread and feel that they will be condemned because they had a beer with dinner last night? I haven't had a drink in almost 3 years...not because I didn't want to but because with four kids, hubby and I just don't have time or money to even think about it. I sure hope my pastor wouldn't kick us out of church if we decide to go away for our anniversary next year and maybe have a nice dinner at a restaurant and have a glass of wine with it...the good fermented stuff, of course! ;) :tongue3:

The lies that God permits moderate drinking are sending thousands to hell.,

Not a liar, webdog. when I posted in 325, I said I had not called anybody a fool... and I hadn't until many posts later.

Hold onto your works based salvation. Rejection of Christ is what sends people to hell...not alcohol.

Tell you what, JerryL. You cling to the goddess of brewing and believe what man writes about her. I will trust in the Lord my God.

If beer had been around in Bible times, the KJV translators would have included that word in the translating. Since it was not, they did not.
Now wait a minute! This is an "alcohol" thread. If we want to get into versions and why the translators translated something one way or another, there is a forum for that. This ain't it!

BTW, how does one know what was or was not "around in Bible times" from any translation 1500 years later and 400 years ago, and that time only removed by a century from the Middle Ages, and assume we cannot know more about this today? There are a lot of unsupported assumptiuons in the post I am replying to, IMO.

Your accusations are uncalled for. But Scripture said I would receive persecution so hit me with your best shot...as wrong as it is.
Scripture says I will receive persecution, too. Being called a fool is just that. I wouldn't think it would be coming from another believer, though...:tear:

The Word of God says a fool will utter perverse things. Saying Christ drank alcohol or that He condones drinking alcohol is a perverse thing.
Calling names is a violation of the BB...which would constitute sin...but I'm sure you don't sin anymore...

Standing on the Word and preaching the truth as I have is a works based Salvation. You are correct. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that caused me to realize that drinking of alcoholic beverage is sinful.

I want to hear the verse that states drinking in moderation will send someone to hell.

I had no idea any of us could predict who would be in hell. Moderate drinking could send us to hell? Verse please?

The Word of God calls those who utter perversness fools. I only quoted the Word of God and gave an example of perverse talking.
