I can't figure out if you're serious or not....
I have a feeling you are, which makes me cringe at the misunderstanding of the Bible.

tinytim said:Women can pray, sing, and yes even in our denomination (ABC) teach and preach... Although I am not happy about the preaching part!!! And I couldn't set under a woman pastor... but we do have some.
OK, flame me...
OK! You asked for it. (and deserve it!)tinytim said:I was laughing at the bottom of the first page at you.. you had them going...
People, when SW only writes short posts... she is up to something... remember she is a woman!!!
I am actually worried that SW won't go to Heaven... The Bible says in Rev. there will be a period of silence, and that can't happen if the women of BB are there!!!!

Do you think women praying and leading music is authority over men?Bro. Williams said:If it is considered a role or act of authority over men, it is forbidden.

SaggyWoman said:You say this. Though I don't have a problem with women leading the music, one time I visited a church where a woman sang a solo. By the end of the song, people were weeping from the spirit moving. A few people went to the altar at the spirit's move to pray.
Then the quenching came. She started saying that if you were moved by this song, then you should be at the altar. Then after her stinging tongue, she sang the song two more times.
Well, guess what. Wrong statement. Why be abusive??
Folks, just let the spirit move.
tinytim said:We have been the mulberry bush here on these enough.. .and like I said.. I couldn't support a woman pastoring... Although, I do understand how some interpret the Bible to allow one too...
As for Praying...
Singing....
And teaching...
If God gifts them, let them.
I know... I know... I know the way Paul's writings are interpreted... and that's OK.. I am not going to debate it...
In our church, women sing, women teach, and women pray... Men are the deacons, and preachers...
If you disagree... you disagree... and that's OK...:wavey:

Timsings said:I think we should be careful when we use the Bible in ways that put limits on God. In the OT just when the Israelites thought they had God figured out, God did something new that caused them to have to throw out their assumptions. The coming of Jesus did the same thing to the Jews. We need to wary of falling into the same kind of trap.

I actually think when they applaud at the end of my songs, they are glad I shut up!:wavey:
