I happened upon Galatians 5:13-15 and found it to be interesting in that maybe each of us on the Board should cut and paste this somewhere on, or close to their PC or laptop to remind then how we, brothers and sisters, are supposed to act toward one another, here on the board.
"For, dear brothers, you have been given freedom: not freedom to do wrong, but freedom to love and serve each other. For the whole Law can be summed up in this one command: “Love others as you love yourself.” But if instead of showing love among yourselves you are always critical and catty, watch out! Beware of ruining each other."
Here is the same scritpure, but from KJV, and it doesn't change anything as it reminds us how we need to be careful to not devour, or be consumed by another. "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another."
I'd love to hear your response and feedback to these words from Paul and how you reconcile a sometimes acrid, vitriol, oft stinging tongue when it comes to how you address another on this board - of course, it's all done by the name of debating - but? How about the name calling, and demeaning words-in order to get a laugh at anothers expense? Or, when you attack not their pinion, but their integrity and personal character?
I was wondering how some of you sleep at night, or pray in good conscientious, knowing you destroyed of devoured another here on the board? I was hoping some of you could reconcile the above Scripture to your behavior?
