World explodes over dead lion, ignores planned parenthood

Is there some sort of limit on things we can be outraged about? Like if you choose to acknowledge the lion killing thing you somehow forfeit your ability to weigh in on something else like planned parenthood which has gotten a pretty fair share of air time the last few weeks. People are capable of reacting to multiple situations at the same time and having an opinion on them. The whole comparison is kind of clunky.

I think that this has become as big as it is because of the Lion King film.

I think it is because it is a diversion from the PPH videos.
I read online somewhere that since the videos surfaced, the MSM had given a total of 11 minutes to that subject - (what, about a week?), and the lion captured 24 minutes in one day.
Anything to avoid the negative publicity that will not go away!!!
This brouhaha has really shown the hypocricy of the left over their priorities; well maybe not hypocricy, since they make no claim to care a hoot about pre-emergent/recently emerged babies. :tear::mad:

You can care about the lion and the PP atrocities both but this brings to mind an old Joe Stalin quote. To paraphrase, 55+ million dead babies, some of which had their organs sold to the highest bidder after a brutal abortion, is a statistic, but one dead old poached lion is a tragedy - ooops, make that two.

I do not buy that. The poaching story is not a story because of abortion.

I used to believe that, too, until I found out the lion was poached on the first of July - that was one big delay, considering the internet makes news instantaneously.

And there you have it.

Good point!
