Would you support a Just War from the Bible then?

Jesus said they will happen.. but the end is not yet.
1 Timothy 5:8
"But if anyone doesn't provide for his own people, especially provide for those of his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
Provide protection as well as sustenance/shelter and love. A "just" war would be endanger/threat to my own people. Example. Japan invaded Manchuria, Korea, and then China in open war and aggression in 1930's. Few in USA would think sending our troops or ships to China or bomb Japan would be "just".
Dec 7th, 1941 changed it to a "just" war.

The ones that do not have to go and fight it.
Once Japan bombed Pearl Harbor though, it then became to us a "just war?"
A War must be fought to either protect ourselves, or our friends from enemies, or else to protect and support those who are powerless to defend for themselves?
If you mean the Church going to war, no.
If you mean Christian soldiers performing their duties in avenging evil, absolutely. The more believers we have in the military, the less chance of war altogether.

I would say yes. Just as I would say yes for a Christian Police Officer shooting someone endangering the lives of others. The thing is, though, Christians are going to be less likely to pull the trigger. At least we would like to think that.

Back around 1975, I attended a Baptist retreat at the AFRC in Bertergeson, Germany. (The retreat was sponsored by the SBC & ABC chaplains!)
The Bible teacher was an ABC missionary from Romania, a communist nation at the time. Well, that missionary told us that when men from his church went into the military - they would have a special prayer meeting. At that moment, I realized that had war broken out between the US and USSR, I could be fighting (killing) an enemy who may be born again.

Which would not be sinning, as the Lord see that as being casualty of war, not murdering in cold blood

Christians have debated whether they should fight as soldiers (or fight at all) since the beginning of the church and especially when Roman soldiers began to be converted.
To answer directly, yes there is “just war”. Whether Christians should be involved in the killing is another debate altogether.
We are called to be different from the world.

Killing is acceptable - Murder is not
Think trying to stop Hitler bringing a Holocausts to all nations under his regime would qualify as a "just war"
Killing soldiers in a war would be acceptable, but just killing all civilians period would not be
