Absolutely I would...and I do.

God can be equally known and talked about by women as well as men. :)

Yes, why not? Oh, that's right some think women should only learn about Jesus, not talk about him with others.

... and well deserved!

Jobes is a professor at Wheaton, and has done several commentaries. I'm not familiar with the one GT mentions in the OP, but I have read through the one she did on Esther -- my wife had purchased it. She's very inciteful, thoroughly biblical in her approach, and quite knowledgeable. I've no problem with her work at all, and would recommend it myself if anyone were to ask.

Females?

I have several commentaries. Of them, I'm pretty sure the "Matthew Henry Commentary" was written by a man. I also have "Ungers", "Halleys" and "Strong's Concordance". I have no idea if they were written by men, women or co-ed teams. Oh, I have and use a copy of the "Amplified Bible" and I understand a woman was instrumental in the producing of that work.

I evaluate such works by content, how they square with the Bible itself and with the Holy Spirit moving in my mind and life. I would probably reject an overtly 'feminist' view commentary, not due to the author, but to the erratic nature of the data therein.

Having said all that, I have no information about the book you cite.

Several hours, and still no sparks. I am impressed.

I was awaiting the " I don't need commentaries, I let God speak to me" in preparation of the message crowd.

It was written by a female?

For example: bestcommentaries.com recommends Karen Jobes's commentary on 1 Peter as the #1 recommendation. It is in the Baker Exegetical series, which is quite solid.

Would you use it? Would you buy it?
I'm about as conservative as you can get, but I'd use Dr. Jobe's commentary if I were working on a Peter project, and wouldn't consider that she was disobeying Scripture. (But can't afford new commentaries nowadays.)

My son, the rising Peterine scholar who just got his PhD (just wanted to be sure everyone knew that ) interacted with her in working on his dissertation, and found her to be a top notch Peterine scholar.

wasn;t there an OT scholar/writer of commenatries Joyce baldwin?

How's she disobeying Scripture? She's wrote a commentary. She didn't put a proviso on the dust cover that only women could buy it, so is that how?

Congrats to your son!

And in the end, that's all that matters, right? She isn't taking authority over men. She has no control over who reads her commentary.

Correctamundo. It's not an issue of authority, in my mind--in particular, it's not a local church authority matter.

By way of historical context, Wheaton College has a long tradition of female profs, even back when it was the premier fundamentalist institution. Leading fundamentalist John R. Rice moved his family there in the '40's so his six daughters could go there, including my mother. She met my Dad there, and both of them took classes in doctrine (I think it was) from Dr. Edith Torrey, daughter of fundamentalist leader and famed evangelist R. A. Torrey.
