He might, if he doesn't see any way out of the mess he has made.
We have top military minds throughout the Western world working on scenarios at this time. I suspect that they are tracking Putin carefully and will end his life if he does.
Putin is not going to attack a NATO nation.a NATO nation is likewise not going to attack him.

as Russian is a Nuclear power, with a leader who is clearly DERANGED, even if he were to attack a NATO country, there is nothing that anyone can really do! IF, the US, with their own DERANGED "leader", were to attack Russia, Putin will hit back with Nuclear weapons, and then we will have a very short WW3!

Putin is of sound mind. The people following the NWO globalists and drinking the anti Putin Kool Aid are the ones of questionable mind.
Better question is what will our commander in chief do if he does?
Answer whatever his handler(s) tell him to say/do!!!!
Putin appears to be the right guy at the right time for fulfillment of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Which is part of the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapter 36.
I do not expect him to use nuclear weapons.
It is prophecied Ezekiel 38:4
"And I will turn thee back,"
There must be something to turn back from, and that may well be this Ukraine incursion.
Clearly, Tarshish and the young lions, are both surprised by what Gog does, when it turns towards Israel, and are not a deterrent to Gog's actions. IMO, the scriptures infer that Gog itself is drawn to do what it did not intend.
And lastly, the Lord will not come rule and reign for a Thousand years over a nuclear wasteland.
Nuclear weapons have proven to essentially be a loaded gun used to intimidate, terrorize, extort, and even stymie/deter military actions. Their actual use are impractical for the ingrained possessive nature of conquest entities.

I agree with the thinking that prophecy may bring a picture in this matter, we will all watch to see.
Russia defense rules are that only if they are attacked will they use nuclear weapons. Putin is incapable of "ordering" the use without cause that the commanders over the weapons agree are necessary reasons for use.
Also, I don't see our POTUS intellectually capable of rational response should Russia use such weapons.
Then there is the problem of both China and North Korea, so Putin does have a sold alliance to back his play.
Besides, it isn't missiles, it is the suitcase dirty bombs that will terrorize the typical American into fear and rational incapacity.
These are all my own opinions.

What of the Prophecy concerning the sun, moon, and stars. Would not such a conflict cause atmospheric changes?
What might we find in Scriptures concerning our opinions?

We have already attacked Russia through proxy war. Unfortunately, we will fight them to the last Ukrainian.
We are the ones who created this mess. He warned us years ago what he would do if we put Nato(American) weapons in Ukraine. That the CIA would support and back Ukrainian Nazis is disgusting.
We cannot stop Putin from using WMD any more than he can stop us. You have a demented mind plaing with nuclear war like it's not dangerous. And we are the ones responsible. We pushed him into this war, and we are going to fight him to the last Ukrainian. We are the evil ones here. Your disrespect of nuclear war is horrifying.
