This OP was written to malign and mock others.

It's foolishness. Period.

Again I disagree with you here. But everyone has an opinion. If I had a problem with anyone persons post then I would approach that person privately & have it out with them rather than make it a public forum & perhaps embarrass the individual in question. Isn't that how Christians are instructed to do things in scripture.....Approach in all Loving Concern?

Yes. But you've witnessed folks approach Luke. I don't have a problem with Luke, just speaking the truth in love.

What I said is the real reason it is written.

Everything others say to him is construed a drive by, straw man, red herring.

Now. Perhaps you should have done the same towards me?

Sins committed in public ought to be rebuked in public. "Them (elders) that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."

Now watch, Luke will attack me again for this statement. Last time I didn't even read the insult before the monitors deleted it (and suspended him, as I recall). Just as well. Rippon then rebuked Luke. No response from Luke to Rippon except "God bless." He doesn't appear to respond well to rebuke, even from fellow Calvinists.

I feel what will happen is EWF will justify what he said to me, as him being right to do so, and that I did the same exact thing is wrong. Although I don't agree that what I did was wrong at all. It's speaking the truth in love. :love2:

It's typical on this site to justify and go on in self deception. Among Christians this is shameful. And you are correct John, the churches in the states are becoming worse and more worldy. The love of many has grown cold.

Your Scripture was timely and right on. God's Word is alive and active.

I hope it goes that way, and that humility, admittance, acceptance and repentance are forthcoming. In other words, real Christianity on display. I think it's time for that.

I'd love to be wrong concerning this with my doubt. Just judging by staus quo brother.

My Old Union saw it as an insult, Don saw it as an insult & heck I guess as a PB, I could have seen it as insulting... you know but I did not. Rather I saw it as a misguided attempt at conveying something & for that misguided attempt, I wouldn't excoriate anyone especially a Brother in Christ. And I agree with Tom & I agree with Old Union that we need (& I mean seriously mean) to rise above this petty backbiting. We are acting in opposition to one another as Christians. Not good!

Preach4, I am not here to cause a scene so I apologize for offending you. Regarding churches, they all need to "forgo the ego" (hey, I like that!) & point to Christ..... IE I take it seriously when scripture says we ought to obey God rather than men. And Scripture tells us to make peace with the brethren.

No offense to Luke, but Don, you are correct. Spinning to avoid being wrong is what is going on (with Luke). It's not that his intentions were deeper than the outcome of he being wrong.
