You can even leave if you have to go and make a lists and come back and post it...then I will answer them for you if the Lord be willing. But 1 on 1...just 1 question at a time.

    thank you.

Hello Wayne...now we are getting somewhere.

Sorry to seem to have abandoned you, it was not intentional, just got caught up in another thread or two.

Okay, I have to ask two questions, sorry, but, I am out of time, so you will have plenty of time to get to them, and, they will not be "tough questions" designed to trip you up, just...questions.

First, I would just ask a straightforward answer to what it is you have in mind concerning the Word. It really really would give the discussion a platform from which to spring.

And secondly, Do you view the Word of John 1 to be God, as it clearly states?

    Have to go,

    God bless.

And sorry, I should have explained: I was being facetious in the previous post where I enlarged the letters...lol.

I just get like that, don't hold it against me.

Can anything other than the Spirit of truth guide you into ALL truth?

My answers were based on the potential of what the Holy Spirit could do for YOU not based upon the potential capacity of truth found in the Person of The Holy Spirit!

Your question specifically asked if the Holy Spirit could lead "YOU" into all truth, your question did not ask if the Holy Spirit was omniscient in regard to His own Person.

If that is the intent of your question it was worded poorly. Yes, The Holy Spirit is omniscient.

"First, I would just ask a straightforward answer to what it is you have in mind concerning the Word."

It is to some degree within the boundaries of my own understanding and somewhat to some degree not within my own understanding. But having said that I must also say, that what I do understand I know without no doubt is correct. And what I do not understand I make no conclusions on one way or the other.

Do you view the Word of John 1 to be God, as it clearly states?

I believe it WAS as it WAS...isn't WAS in the PAST tense?

Do you always put the burden of proof on everyone else when it comes to your own short falls?

    By the way

The Lord told me this morning that it is acceptable to him

for it to be acceptable to me

    to accept

    anyone that believes

    Jesus is God

    or

    the Word of God

    is

    Jesus.

Would we take "was" to mean that at this point in time the Word was no longer in the beginning?

Or that the Word was no longer with God?

It is a clear statement that states that the Word was God, such as I say the OP of this thread was Wayne.

Are you no longer the OP (opening poster) because I say Wayne was the OP?

I am sorry, Wayne, but I do not believe the Lord would lead us to say that it is "okay" for someone to believe something that He is also leading us to believe is false doctrine. And so far it seems that you feel that something concerning the Word is a false doctrine, and you are here to discuss that doctrine.

Based on the last post I responded on, I am beginning to think that perhaps you may hold to a belief that the Word is the spoken word of God, not God as a Trinitarian would view Him.

    Is that close?

And I see you are no longer online, Wayne, and I myself need to get going, so we can discuss this further at a later time.

    Here is your one question:

Is it not Jesus Christ that declares...

    Revelation 1:8

    King James Version (KJV)

8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Before answering too quickly, I will sneak in another question: is there a a correlation between the terms Alpha and Omega, beginning and the ending, and the first and the last?

    God bless.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Let me rephrase this to accommodate you to you.

The Lord told me this morning that it is acceptable to him

for it to be acceptable to me

    to not forbad

    anyone that believes

    Jesus is God

    or

    the Word of God

    is

    Jesus.

because they FOLLOWETH not with us.

    By the Grace of God

I do not have that problem.

    Besides

Why would I tell anyone any different than God told me?

You must be hanging around liars.

    Do you hang around liars?

Wayne is not responsible for your lack of reading skills.

or you lack of understanding or the darkness in your eye.

Are you saying you all those who believe

    Jesus

    Is against us?

I was hoping to increase your understanding.

But I see it did not work.
