Has anyone seen this TV compaign yet? They are saying that they are the church Jesus Christ started and that by the Holy Spirit it is they who compiled the bible. I wonder if any Baptist organization will run any TV adds to counter these claims. Of course the Mormons run their adds saying that they are the Church of Jesus Christ and they believe Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers born of God and God's wife.

Typical....but you know better. Just ignore it....its meant for lapsed Catholics who feel guilty this time of year. No real substance to it besides guilt.

I have seen those commercials several times. They are very well done.

I was a Catholic until God started dealing with me. I finally broke and was born again in my mid 20's.

I wouldnt return to that heresy filled, goddess worshiping den of iniquity for anything.

The also do this on ewtn..on the radio....roman catholics are taught that they are the one true church.....they delight when they get a baptist ,or protestant who did not know their bible...to apostitize and join the false roman organization.
Any RC who is saved , is saved despite the false ideas of rome.....some now read the bible, and the Spirit draws them savingly.

How, then, do you account for the likes of Scott Hahn, Marcus Grodi, James Akin, Stephen Ray and Francis Beckwith, all of whom had intimate knowledge of scripture and, because of their knowledge of the Bible, converted to the Catholic Church?

Every denomination claims they are the true church, and others are faulty. This is why the body is split and no one can agree. Look at the many splits in the Baptist brand.

If I told you I go to RC Functions like bible studies & point out their own scriptural errors & am leading a few of them away from the RCC, would you hate me Zenas? how bout if I tell you they are mostly Latin Americans!

Up here in the "Noth" these RC's are about 65% of the religious community & rather formidable. So if you are a sinner and you want a pass on sinning you go to the confessional & get to admit your sins & walk out cleansed....you then go back to sinning & get another pass by going back to confession. Confession is actually on of the 7 ....get this "SACRAMENTS" that you do to get to heaven.

So if your a repeat sinner, this church is a means to get your Salvation while still sinning & best of all no need to be reborn. No wonder there is so many RC's

More money....better pay.....better benefits.....more economic security. Paying off Protestants to become Catholic theologians can be quite lucrative, to say nothing for the book deals.

How do we account for this? We'd call that apostatizing. Scriptural knowledge proves nothing, nor does it reveal salvation.

Fruit does.

That said have departed to an apostate religion is quite revealing in itself. Satan knows his ministers must be well versed to appear as ministers of light. No surprise here, you should know this already yourself.

- Peace

Why should I hate you, EWF? I don't think I hate anyone although I do wish Barack Obama was still a community organizer.

Poorly catechized Latins are easy targets. How do you think you would do with Scott Hahn?

Or so they think. If they would read their Catechism, they would realize you are made clean only with confession in conjunction with perfect contrition.

That's the stupidest (or most cynical) thing I ever heard. Only a hardened infidel would change his faith for economic reasons. And frankly, if you're a Protestant pastor and thinking about converting, you're going to be out of a job. Not much economic incentive there.

Actually I was a practicing catholic for 32 years & as a citizen of this world for 55 years I think that I can safely say there are many hardened infidels ....among all mankind.:tongue3:
