Michael, it is all rather simple. Bow down before Holy God TODAY, beg Him to save you, then do what comes next. You have contrived all sorts of ways to get around the fact that without God you have no hope, including some concept that even if you die and go to hell that you will yet have hope of exercising your will AGAINST God. Good luck with that. Can't see it happening that way.

 

Icon has merely shared the truth that is found in the Word of God. Calling him an outright liar is not Christian behavior. No one has called YOU a liar, even in the midst of some radical departures from orthodox Christian doctrine. We BELIEVE that you hold those doctrines. We also believe that you are sincerly wrong and we are willing to do TWO things for you -- show you the way from the Scriptures and pray that God would cause you to repent in faith.

You might be surprised what "orthodox" Christianity taught from the beginning. There was a lot more diversity in the early church and in the fathers of the first three centuries than what people want to admit -- or maybe they are ignorant of this fact.

Regardless, I defy anyone to read the CAC Statement of Principles and say I'm a radical or liberal. If I had to characterize myself, it would be moderate or moderate-conservative. Of course to extreme fundies, anyone to the left of Westboro Baptist Church is a liberal.

We may not agree with everthing Michael Wren posts, but he is not creating his own God, and creating his own church.

He simply has some different convitions then we do. Guess what? That is perfectly OK
