I can prove it, and you have proven nothing.
You have proven nothing but the denial of Scripture. If you could prove anything you would, but instead we only here boisterous words like waves of the sea that cast up mire and dirt.
The scripture here that you falsely use, it does not say heart and mind.
It doesn't have to. It uses the word "mind." Paul uses his mind to serve the Lord. What do you use?
Jesus said: "out of the heart comes evil thoughts." Where do your evil thoughts come from? Your mind or your heart, or both?
Saying the words are used interchangeably means nothing really. You have explained and proven nothing. The only thing you have shown is that you deny the meaning.
No, I have shown you how the same words are used interchangeably in different verses. If they weren't used interchangeably then how could they both show up in the same verse? The very fact that they show up in different verses teaching the same thing means that they are used interchangeably. LOL
You are wrong.
Now, since you try to get others to believe that the Bible just uses the word ‘mind’ and ‘heart’ in exchangeable ways, try to explain the scriptures that use both the words in the same scripture!
See explanation above. You contradict yourself.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

I have quoted that verse many times for you, but you seem to deny it. Are you a hyper-Calvinist?

He chooses those who put their faith in him. Salvation is by faith alone.

You are wrong.
The Bible says God looks at the heart.
What do you think is in the heart of the one God saves?
The scriptures tell us.

I said both words are used in the same scriptures.
You have not explained what the scriptures about our heart mean. You have only said that our feelings have NOTHING TO DO WITH SALVATION. You deny the scriptures that speak of our feelings, and you deny the fact that they have to do with the heart.

You do realise its not the literal physical pumping blood heart scriptures refer too, correct?

And the Bible states receive/belive upon the Lord jesus and be ye saved, not 'and you will always get excited!"

What is in the heart? Jesus told you.
So does Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

When that sinner, evil by nature from birth, comes to Jesus by faith and faith alone, God takes that evil heart and makes it clean by his blood. He washes it white as snow.

There is no good in that heart; only evil. It must be washed in the blood of the lamb. That evil heart is unable to do good. It is like the leopard that cannot change its spots. It cannot do good.

The scriptures DO speak of the heart, the heart that is pumping your blood through your veins.
It is where Jesus lives when someone receives the Holy Spirit.
If anyone wants scriptures to this, please ask.

God looks in our hearts! If there is only evil, as you have been indoctrinated by false teachers to believe, then what is God looking for, if there is only evil!

What did Jesus say:
"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
If you are righteous, then Jesus didn't come for you.
He came for the sinners, for those who have evil hearts. Those are the ones that he came to save. There is no one so evil that Christ cannot save.

You need to answer the questions that I give you. I answer yours, now you answer mine.
What is God looking in our hearts for, if there is only evil?
Answer now, if you cannot answer, then stop repeating falseness you were taught.

There is only evil in our hearts, that is in the heart of an unsaved heart. God doesn't look for good in an unsaved heart. The one who hears the gospel and has the opportunity to choose Christ must make that decision. Certainly the Holy Spirit will play a role in convicting him of sin. It is not God looking in the heart. It is the sinner trusting in Christ. Salvation is by faith and faith alone. Are you also a Calvinist?

Wow. The scriptures say God looks in the heart, and gives the Holy Spirit to those He accepts. You give up God’s Truth to defend what men with false doctrines taught!

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

If you want to know the deeper things of God, then stop denying the truth.

We are to believe and confess.

They confessed. They did not cherish sin in their hearts. They humbled themselves before God. They fear God. They felt guilty for their sins. They acknowledged wickedness. They turned to God with all their heart and soul.
Do you want scriptures to these deeper things of the Lord?

We need to come to jesus "just as we are", sinners in need of his grace and nercy, and receive cleansing by His blood!

Have you looked at the context of the verse you are quoting. Peter is preaching. What was the reaction of the audience when he said that:

Acts 5:33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

What obedience did they take? Is this what you are talking about?
Use Scripture in context?

The Bible says:
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
Give Scriptural evidence that salvation is not by faith alone.
Where does it say one must work for their salvation?

I have looked at the context of the scripture I am quoting. Does the reaction of the audience nullify God’s Word in your understanding?
33 When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.
You should consider more carefully the context. Did you look at the scripture just before the one I quoted about the Holy Spirit given to those who obey? That scripture says, “God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.”
Believe and repent.

Believe and repent.
So your answer is "believe and repent"?
In the NT believe and repent are the same thing.
When one believes he repents at least as far as salvation is concerned.
It is not feeling sorry for one's sins. That has nothing to do with it. That is not repentance.
Faith is turning to Christ.
Repentance is a turning from a sinful lifestyle and a turning to Christ.
They are two sides of the same coin.

So your answer is "believe and repent"?
That is what Jesus tells us to do.
In the NT believe and repent are the same thing.
They are not the same thing. They are only called the same thing by people who want to defend the false doctrine of believe only.
When one believes he repents at least as far as salvation is concerned.
Again, believing and repenting are two different things.
It is not feeling sorry for one's sins. That has nothing to do with it. That is not repentance.
Repentance is turning from sins. People are to be sorry for their sins!
Palm 66:18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
Isaiah 66:2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.

Luke 18:13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

Luke 18:14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Isaiah 57:15 For this is what the high and lofty One says--he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
2 Chronicles 34:27 Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the LORD.
Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"--and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah

Psalm 38:18 I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.
Faith is turning to Christ.
Repentance is a turning from a sinful lifestyle and a turning to Christ.
They are two sides of the same coin.
If you believe repenting and believing are things we are to do, THEN STOP GOING AGAINST ME WHEN I QUOTE THE SCRIPTURES AND TELL OTHERS TO BELIEVE AND REPENT. Stop saying it does not matter what is in our hearts! Stop teaching a dead faith. Stop saying we do not have to be sorry for our sins.
