*sigh*................I have no "position" on the KJV other than I have used it my whole life, and it's my preferred version.

OK, I'll take your word that you are KJVP and not KJVO. I've used the KJV all my life as well and have recently started reading and using other versions (NKJV, NIV).

Well, that's good, cuz you haven't proven a thing except that you were full of spite. I hope you've asked JESUS to remove that stuff from your psyche.

I openly and candidly admit that both Scripture and secular history are silent about the origin of Cain's wife, and the spouses of Adam and Eve's other children. I merely made a SUGGESTION about where their spouses mighta come from; I have NOT DECLARED that I believe it.But, OTOH, neither you nor anyone else has proven that suggestion couldn't possibly have occurred.

And your constant siding with KJVOs speax volumes, especially when it's been PROVEN that KJVO is man-made and false.

And, I have NEVER been suspended from CARM. I've had a few posts edited, as we have had done right here, so please don't add to your pile by telling another untruth.

Now, if you're REALLY done with this, so am I.

    "MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING."

    Hi!

I re-opened this because "Baptist 4 Life", after saying here that she was done with this, has brought it up again, in the "Bible Versions/translations" forum, in a thread called "An Answer To A Question".

This proves the value of B4L's statements.

She said she refuted me on this, which is incorrect. I tole her above that I was open for any explanation of the origin of Cain's wife that DID NOT INCLUDE INCEST, and I still am. She FAILED to provide such an explanation.

But she said she was done with this, but showed us she isn't. Now, what did GOD say about all liars ? ?

Now, shall we let sleeping dogs sleep, or...

I am SO glad this is reopened! And I do NOT appreciate being called a liar, roby. Go back and read through this thread again, you'll find lots of responses that explain where Cain's wife came from, and NONE of them have anything to do with God creating another race! I daresay, what you believe is just plain WEIRD, along with being un-Biblical.

    MMRRPP!

I did NOT call you a liar. I reminded us of what GOD said about all liars.

    BUT...

YOU said above that YOU were done with this subject, but YOU brought it up again in the forum/thread I named above. What does that tell us?

And all your explanations above include INCEST. I do NOT believe God EVER condoned incest between parent/offspring or full siblings, & I doubt if many other baptists believe He did, either. so again, I await an explanation for the origin of Cain's wife that does NOT involve incest!

But remember, YOU started this subject up again, in that other forum/thread, not I-after you said you were done with it.

Well, since you haven't stopped with your un-Biblical nonsense about Cain, I changed my mind! Woman's perogative, don't you know! ;)Why is it I am the only one you respond to? MANY others on here have posted rebuttals and links to information that explain where Cain got his wife, yet you totally ignore them.....why? here's just the latest. Seems you fit the definition of a Polygenesist, in direct conflict with Scripture!......

I've read'em all; they all involve INCEST!

"Woman's prerogative"? Actually, there's another name for it.

Just face it-you reneged on a statement you made, and it's blown up in yer face.

Blown up in my face? You're funny. What's blown up in your face is the exposing of your un-Biblical, Polygenesist views. Why don't you quit berating me, and deal with the topic?

Why is it a dead horse? Do you know how many years and threads have been wasted on the KJV issue? Why don't you post your "dead horse" comment on those threads? Why don't you think that someone who claims to be a Christian, yet believes God actually created other people and races besides Adam and Eve is important to discuss? I believe this is a very relevant, and a very telling issue. If you don't, you're free to ignore the thread.

We don't shoot dead horses. We might BEAT a dead horse, which is not productive for anything and we shoot horses to kill them. But we DO bury dead horses. Maybe that's what we're looking for???? ;)

It's as dead as the KJVO nonsense. PErhaps you two should go at it in PM over this, or, MAYBE they'll make a separate forum for it like the C/A forum.

    Nope. And neither do you.

    Naw. I'll pass.

    Inferring he is lost...please continue...

Well thank God our salvation isn't based in our theology but in Christ alone.

You all were 'discussing' this? Could've fooled me, it looked more like inflammatory insults catapulted at one another.

Yes, we get what you mean by 'very telling'. I've addressed what you've inferred up above.

Ignore it? Not even done with my popcorn yet.

By the way ann, shooting or beating a horse that is dead, well, same futile difference and I'd prefer to pull this out and shoot it rather than beat on it.

OK, how about you start discussing the OP of this thread? Or quit trying to derail it. Deal? Strange how a person with "preacher4truth" screen name doesn't want to discuss the truth about a Biblical issue.

Point is this...........several people have shown roby how wrong he is about this, and HE tries to turn it back to me instead of dealing with what other people have posted in rebuttal to him. I'm waiting for him to quit bickering about me, and answer the other posters.

OK, you took a jab at me too, no biggie. Status quo for you?

So, tell me the truth about the matter. Who did Cain marry?

    This is so easy!!!!

    HIS WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My advice: interpret the text not the event. The text doesn't say, so it doesn't matter. To focus on the event is to make Scripture more about history and less about theology.

    Pot meet kettle?
I believe Cain married a relative. Could have been his sister, neice, second cousin, whoever. I DON'T believe God created another whole race of people. If you had read the responses from the posts on this thread from me, and several others, you'd already have known who I believe Cain married.

Who do YOU believe Cain married? Do you not think believing God created OTHER races of people separate from Adam and Eve throws a serious problem about the fall, sin, and salvation? Were those other people created sinless? Were they created as adults or children? Did they "fall" like Adam and Eve? Were they in need of a Savior? Since the Bible says Eve is the "mother of all living", what Scripture do you have to support your belief? All questions that roby sidesteps.
