The Holy Spirit taeches the child of God, istructs them in the bible, and bring illumination to them!

we MUST use proper interpretation rules and tools as you stated here, but still MOST important thing to do is to subit, believe, and apply/follow what he has shown to you to do in the word....

Again, Seminary great fro pastors/teachers/missionaries toget trained/educated, but the person not ableto go there can also be taught by his pastor/teachers in church, read and use bible tools, but NOTHING supercededs the Illumination from and of the holy sprit, as cannot the one who authored it to us reveal it to us also?

Through human teachers. Read Ephesians 4.

No. The most important thing to do is to UNDERSTAND the word long before you "subit, believe, and apply/follow what he has shown to you to do in the word."
You understand it by utilizing the help from the Body of Christ that God commanded you to use which includes TEACHERS. Again, read Ephesians 4.

And how does the Holy Spirit "illuminate" a person?

Is this some magical Holy Ghost fairy dust that he sprinkles on one's heart so that one can know things he never studied?

    How does this work?

Because I think what you are advocating is Charismatic nonsense and absolutely cannot even REMOTELY be supported by the Bible.

God uses teachers and Providence (his working out the events of our lives) to teach us. Period. End of story. No Holy Ghost magic. No illumination without study. NONE. NADA.

    Excuse me brother....

....and sure don't mean to rain on your intellectual rant; but let me remind you of this teaching, especially the words I highlighted!

Romans 1:18-32 (NLT), "18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too."

Luke, you are a well educated man of God, and extremely well versed in the word ... still, I'd never want to go behind the pulpit without the anointing of the Holy Ghost. While I understand what you are saying, I do disagree with you on that point. Be careful to avoid cause the Spirit to grieve. Comments like, "No Holy Ghost magic" is coming cose to crossing the line!

Please don't take this as putting you down, I'm just sayin'

Thanks for commenting. I never take your posts as trying to put me down. I appreciate your spirit.

The Romans 1 passage you site does the opposite of what I think you intend for it to do. It does not condemn "knowledge." It condemns one who does not like to "RETAIN" knowledge when it comes to God. The passage condemns purposeful ignorance.

    Romans 1:28- New International Version
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

The thing that will create willful ignorance is a low view of the need to study.

A lack of knowledge is one of the things most vociferously condemned in Scripture. God HATES ignorance. God despises the spirit of those who think that God speaks to them when he does not. God despises intellectual laziness as much as god despises anything. This is the message taught again and again throughout Scripture.

Believing that God gives you knowledge above what you study and learn through his acts of providence in your life is dangerous and unbiblical.
