I am constantly amazed at how he manages to get away with masking posts that essentially call certain people an idiot while using a smiley face or a "thumbs up.

Dude, I'm a Baptist, Baptists are called "the people of the Book". Do you know what book that is? It's not some new book by John MacArthur or Paul Washer, that was speaking of the Bible.

Baptists are famous for believing the Bible, not books written by men.

Let me ask you Dconn...Winman has posted that Jesus emptied Himself of His Deity.......that does not amaze you??? You or QF...do not comment on that at all.......I find that quite startling.

Dconn...you will notice that I have not called anyone an idiot,or stupid have I.

That is your perception based on the posts. Again if you take an objective look you might notice that I respond to what is offered. When Winman posts that I am a parrot, who just repeats things, or questions my salvation....I just understand that he is frustrated because basically every cal corrects his novelties and errors....everyday.
He is quite proud of this however. I do not see your feigned amazement when his posts are anti-cal with disparaging remarks at the end of each one...why is that???

Well Dconn let me say this. I do not find that when being attacked or in a confrontational situation with someone or persons showing themselves to be adversarial that it is always wise to avoid the issue...sometimes yes, sometimes no....

You are out spoken and have your own issues Dconn. We clash doctrinally for sure. In fact...we might not even like each other at this point.
However...that being said quite directly....you profess to be a brother in Christ. So even if you are not going to invite me over for a cup of coffee anytime soon....I still have to deal with you not for who you are right now, but for who the Lord is transforming you into moving forward.
I have no choice as it is commanded in scripture so I am mindful of that.
Open rebuke is better than secret love....you being a critic of mine I think is sort of meant well, or at least you are trying to correct what you perceive is the error of my ways...

I have issues for sure and I have a fan club.....you, winman, Benjamin, inspector Javeat,and a few others.
Yes I speak direct and weed through the nonsense that others see as well so from time to time I expect some....return fire...so to speak. It is a debate board.
Perhaps you will take note...if a person wants sincere help, I try to help.
If they have a sincere question I respond in kind.
When a person attacks the person and work of Christ or cals in general..I will also respond to that attack. It is not complicated is it?

I will now address your posting and concerns

You have posted this several times. You are entitled to your opinion and others have expressed this from time to time. When someone speaks directly and offers a confident opinion they are open to this charge.
I am sure that there are times when I could be considered arrogant and if I am that is sinful conduct that does need to be corrected.

There are other times when what I say hits a nerve and people who get affected do not like it...so this is the defense they offer.

Before I continue let me say that I am glad you are working through issues and growing even when some of that growth comes with growing pains.

I have addressed your posts occasionally but mostly I avoid comment because what I would like to say to you by way of comment would be better said face to face, or by phone.

I am glad that you are studying yourself into truth, but frankly sometimes what you post and how you go about it I find troubling and even to a point that I am not sure you are being sincere...or just wrestling with issues opely that might be better being done in a behind the scenes fashion.

well QF that might be part of the story as you spend hours in the teachers lounge you have a certain way of going about things I spend time at the truck stop and this is definitely going about things differently.the fact that you do not comment on some of the posts to offer correctionbbut sometime give your little thumbs up sign encourages the person who's in there so it's not so much that some of us relish correcting the people but we feel it's an obligation specially in a debate site to do that.
When several take it upon themselves to post against truth....you would have us remain silent then?

See, here is Icon implying one is lost. They post "against truth". See, if you don't agree with him, you are the enemy of God, you are the enemy of truth. You are of that evil one, the devil. :thumbsup:

He doesn't say you are mistaken, he says you are "against" truth. He is saying you are lost.

Icon thinks he is the only one who knows truth. :laugh:

Icon needs to learn that what he calls "truth" is his personal view or opinion. At times it might be truth, at other times his view is total error. He PRESUMES he is always right.
