Is that like being semi-pregnant?![]()
Would tat bea "moderate" calvnist?I guess that is up to the individual but we have semi palagianism so I was curious about semi calvinism
Semi-Pelagianism = Growing in faith is the work of God, while the beginning of faith is an act of the mortal free will, with grace supervening only later.I guess that is up to the individual but we have semi palagianism so I was curious about semi calvinism
Semi-Pelagianism = Growing in faith is the work of God, while the beginning of faith is an act of the mortal free will, with grace supervening only later.
Full-Pelagianism = The mortal will is capable of choosing good or evil without special divine aid.
Full-Pelagianism = I did it all on my own.
Semi-Pelagianism = God helped me do it.
I am showing that the terms are not comparable. Not sure what that is about but I am asking about semi calvinism

I believe anyone who doesn't hold to all 5 points of Calvinism are semi Calvinist. Wouldn't you?I was just wondering is there any semi-calvinists on this board?
Then I'll call you on that the next time you use the term.Semi-Pelagianism = Growing in faith is the work of God, while the beginning of faith is an act of the mortal free will, with grace supervening only later.
Full-Pelagianism = The mortal will is capable of choosing good or evil without special divine aid.

Semi-Pelagianism = God helped me do it.

Seems to me semi-calvinist would be appropriate.I think it is foolish and anyone who uses semi palagianism must also accept semi calvinism. To not do is us pure arrogance.

They are not going to like it. In the world of many cals either you are 100% pure or you are not a calvinist. Very hypocritical
The "Many Cal Universe". Love it! Like a purity test.
I still can't telling them the truth. They are not going to like it. In the world of many cals either you are 100% pure or you are not a Calvinist. Very hypocritical
I have Presbyterian friends who view Baptist and Calvinist as opposing terms. So who knows. And who’s defining those points?I believe anyone who doesn't hold to all 5 points of Calvinism are semi Calvinist. Wouldn't you?

That is one of the reasons I try not to use the word "Calvinist." Simply because it engenders so much strife. Not to mention false definitions of Particular Redemption.I have Presbyterian friends who view Baptist and Calvinist as opposing terms. So who knows. And who’s defining those points?
