Everyone is born self-righteous. It is the nature of our human condition.

The nature of being in Christ is to be crucified with Christ. (Galatians 2:20)

See my first point. All humans are sinners. Sinners are born self-righteous. Self-righteous don't "tend" to reject Christ, they always are in rebellion to God. Always.

It merely states that God's Spirit seals us who are saved.

Paul never warns Christians that they could lose their salvation. That is your interpretation, out of context. That's on you, not God.

 

Who cares how we view ourselves?
The question is: How does God view us? The answer is: There is none righteous, not even one.

We will persevere, we will finish the race, we have been given the gift of faith and God does not take his gift away. God keeps us rooted because he will "never leave us nor forsake us."
We are in Christ.

 

It's funny how you take a verse and twist it so that it goes against the entire passage where Paul teaches assurance of salvation.

Colossians 1:9-23,27
[9]So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
[10]Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

So...some Christians are given the gift of faith, but not others? Strange teaching since Ephesians 2:8-9 says otherwise.

But, you are talking about what degree has been gifted above and beyond salvation and then imagining that only a portion receive faith. That's like saying that only a portion of Christians have the ability to show mercy while ignoring that some are better at it than others.

You're getting desperate.

 

Our only safety is God's grace and God's grace alone.

You constantly want to be in control and save yourself by works. It's a Galatians false teaching that you present.

 

LOL, you are upset because you are wrong and hate that you are wrong...so you take it out on the translation. You make me laugh.

 

I get it. You add works to salvation and throw away grace...just like the false teachers in the letter to the Galatians.
