Not saying that you did, but was asking what would a sinner have to do in order to get saved?

One we must acknowledge we are a sinner in need of salvation which comes from God. We need to acknowledge that we will go after God rather than live for ourselves. We are sinners because we do that which God is not pleased with. We now want to please God with our lives. Baptism is a picture of our committment.

Repentance and belief are a part of salvation (i.e. "repent and believe "). We do not repent to be saved, but at the same time there is no salvation without repentance.

I just am referring to the belief that seems totell us that we must repent of all of our known sin before we can get saved...

I think of it this way - repentance is a defining attribute to saving faith.

I know "dummy" is relatively mild as insults go, but it is still a personal attack on one who is, as far as we know, our brother in Christ. I'm pretty new to this discussion forum. I hope that personal insults are not tolerated, since this claims to be a Christian group.

I get attacked and criticized all the time here and people attack each other left and right. It's sad. I have had to defend myself and refer to the attackers as rabbits or Gremlins.

Scripture itself explains ... not what happened to hell....but what happened IN Hell.

All living souls, departed out of their dead bodies, went to hell.

Living souls OF believers, were in comfort, VIA Father Abraham's Living soul presence & the Tree of Life.

Living souls OF unbelievers, were in torment, VIA separation from Father Abraham, the Tree of Life and God.

Jesus' body died. Jesus' Living Soul went to hell. Jesus' Living Soul left hell. Living souls of believers, and the Tree of Life, were then thereafter also (after Jesus' departure) departed from hell, to heaven.

Living souls, departed from dead body's of unbelievers, remain in hell, and subsequent Living souls departed from dead body's of unbelievers, go to hell; All waiting in torment, ie total separation from God, and comforts (no longer provided BY God), waiting for JUDGEMENT.

Nothing happened TO Hell, but much happened IN Hell and continues to this day. :)

I have looked at your blogs on this important Doctrine, and can see that you have spent much time on your research and presentation. However, I have yet to see any person who rejects "eternal conscious punishment", demonstrate from the the Greek text, using the lexical aids and examples available, that the words, "destroy", "persish", burn to ashes", "second death", etc, that they mean "ceasing to exist". None of the underlying Greek words for the English used in these passages, nor any other passage, supports the use of "annihilation", as there are distinct words that to say this, which are never employed in the Old or New Testaments, when dealing with the final state of the wicked. Much can and has been said about the "theology" of "Conditional Immortality", but an indepth study of the Bible's teaching on this Doctrine does not support it. men like John Stott, who were great "evangelicals", were misled by the current vogue in the world, and the rise of anti-Biblical rhetoric, which is being pushed by those who oppose the Holy Bible, and adopted by many within the Church.

I wait to see a presentation by anyone from the original Hebrew and Greek, that shows the Bible teaches anything other than "eternal conscious punishment", and can already say that this will not be done as it does not exist.

You are correct, in that one cannot prove the "truth" of there not being an eternal Hell from just the scriptures, s basically the words used for donating time is same for both heaven and Hell, forever!
