You heard it here folks.....I have the power to damn folks now.

What we are debating here ultimately is whether I can help or hinder myself OR anyone else at all.

To do what God says IS HEAVEN.

    Luke 9

23And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. 24“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25“For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27“But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

It is a SELFISH mind who's prime concern is the idolatry of his eternal life.

FOLKS excuse themself from doing God's command cause it doesn't pay you.

I don't need a written certificate from my parents stating that they love me. I think its pathetic to seek a safety net against God.

FOLKS spit on the command of God as if it is some chore, when it really is the treasure itself.

LOL. Which is why Christ prayed that the cup pass from Him.

How can you obey God, being so ignorant of the Scriptures?

Hey this is the Seventh-day Adventist thread - you're supposed to be bashing SDAs not Catholics on this thread. :)

Chapter 11 has NOTHING to do gentiles losing salvation, just teaches us that we need to make sure that we are actually now saved and in the faith, unlike those Israelites who were faithless and not saved!

However it DOES matter to God if we take His name in vain -- even though that commandment is never quoted in the NT.

    Do you agree with that?

And do you agree with the Baptist Confession of faith - and also D.L. Moody that all TEN of the TEN commandments are written on the heart under the NEW Covenant since they are all included in the moral Law of God for all mankind?

So then in your doctrine they are right to say that all TEN of the TEN Commandments are in fact included in the moral law of God - written on the heart under the NEW Covenant... and you also think that Sabbath commandment can be "edited" to point to any day man wishes??

hmm - that is helpful clarification.

    a keeper.

Until you "read the Bible details" in Romans 11

Rom 11 "you stand only by your FAITH"

19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

This is the same as the "warning" given in hebrews 6, asthose who merely profess Jesus but are not really saved will by showing in the end toi be fakers, but real ones will show in the end to continue and be steadfast and really saved!

Your argument does not work in Romans 11 since it is talking about those who fail to persevere... you have "bent" it into "fail to persevere in being lost" as if doing THAT will get you from lost...to... ?? lostER???

The gyrations that logic needs to "fix" Romans 11 for OSAS is beyond all explanation

Except that Jesus stated to us that NONE whom he ever really saves will be lost again, as ALL will be raised up by Him in the end. Was he right or wrong?

SDA doctrine comes from the Bible - not Ellen White - if you are saying you agree with the Bible basis for all SDA doctrine and your only remaining issue is with the messages God gave to Ellen White -- feel free to tell us all about it. So far I have not seen it.

Every response to every question about SDA doctrine has been right out of the Bible on this thread -- this is irrefutable.

The SDA takes its understanding and viewpoints on doctrine directly from Ellen White,so called prophetess, who was a false one!
Even IF we grant the gift of prophesy still exists in the church, which I do not, that does not mean the office of the Prophet still remains!

    Yeshua1 said:
The Sda, as the RCC does, takes the literal understanding concerning doctrines such as Communion and Sabbath, and not see the Spiritual intended meanings.

    Yeshua1,
Elsewhere I have conclusively proven that the SDA, like the JWs, is a cult.

Isn't it Board policy to remove cultists and, for instance, those who
do not believe in the Trinity?

Recall, SDA teaches that Christ is the Archangel Michael; a Created
    Being, not Lord and God.

I happen to know someone who was kicked off the Forums for saying
the three Persons of the Godhead were not equal.

Are you going to continue to debate with BobRyan, who like the Witnesses,
is thoroughly brainwashed, and will NOT change his mind, no matter how
persuasive you think your arguments are?

The best you can do is to pray for his salvation.

If that were true then you would see me quoting Ellen White to defend my views or to defend the SDA doctrines. So far you have not seen that "in real life" and so have to "imagine" the happy fiction you posted .. which is fine if that is all you have.

    I prefer actual facts.

You are merely "quoting you" when you make stuff up as in the example above. Were we "not supposed to notice"???

    Just not in "real life"

One God in Three Persons, God the Father , God the Son, God the Holy Spirit -

Turns out that is what is in our 28 Fundamental Beliefs -- not the fiction you offer in your statement above -- and you probably even know this to be true. How odd that you would seek to mislead

Hint: if you don't want to debate with an actual SDA - no point in showing up to a thread like this one.

Why not make a new start and let actual facts inform your posts from now on? Try it.

Vitriol-alone and sola-vitriol is not the grand "solution" you seem to have imagined it to be.

Should have added (have you not read 1 Cor 12? or Ephesians 4? or 1 Thess 5:20-22, or 1 Cor 14:1-2? or 1 Cor 14:39-40?)

Sola-scriptura Bible testing is important - even if you don't like what you are reading in the Bible

I do not see ANYWHERE where the office of the OT Prophet or NT Apostle continued forward, do you?
