You MUST discern that which is of God and that of satan here Brother!

The basic question here though would be "are you glorifying man, yourself or those other "prophets", or glorifying Jesus Christ?

Good to hear from you, Steven. I had wondered where you went. You've always struck me as a kind person, something that showes through your posts here.

I hope you find a Bible believing church, and you are in my prayers.

Yes. Their experience is what it's all about.

His experiences with having theology given to him by God, having all tongues and visions, weather rainman etc...
Our brother really needs to seek out a good church, with solid theology, not the spiritual junk getting from Charismatic Chaos!

I do worry that I may be making that mistake. I figured that since I still hold to the Baptist distinctives as a Charismatic that this means I can still post in the Baptist-only forums. I also wanted to reach out to the people I most hung out with online. If I am breaking an actual rule, one I am unfamiliar with, I will ask the Mods to move this thread to another forum.

I want to say I am very sorry for the persecution you have endured at the hands of any Charismatic Christians. My thesis that changed everything and was proven to me was that all the gifts are for today. I will defend that thesis, because I believe it can be shown to be biblical, but not the actions of those who harassed you.

As for tongues, I speak "in the Spirit" in unknown languages. However, I record a fair portion of my tongues and write them out for further study. I would love to hold them up to a linguistic analysis.

I am odd in that I believe that if you have prophecy you deliver and it turns out to be false, then the prophetic person was duped by the flesh or the Enemy. This requires repentance and open confession of sin every time.

Please post some of them you've written out and we'll analyze them. I remember one of my linguistics professors said he'd occasionally be contacted to do that.

From what I've read, he needs a bit more than that.

These are an excellent set of criticisms. I must immediately thank God in the name of Jesus for giving me such powerful gifts despite being an evil, undeserving, slave just doing my duty. I must do all I do with these gifts not to my own fame but to the fame of God. That I let the thoughts of doing the miraculous for my own fame in at all is disappointing. I have all these gifts for God's fame, not mine.

I intercede for justice against the rebels and the government. I have been led to intercede in prophecy for justice for all Syrians and groups of people in Syria wronged by either side. I know the rebels are evil and the fact they are losing the war shows the Syrian revolution is truly not of God.

I feel it is important to correct this with scripture. Paul prayed that all the Israelites, his people, may be saved (Romans 10:1). So, we do have a righteous biblical example of praying for a group of people that may never actually be saved.

One of the most important Baptist Distinctives is "The Bible is the Soul Authority in All Matters of Faith and Practice." As you no longer believe that, you are no longer a Baptist and no longer qualified to post in the Baptist Only Sections.

I have moved this thread to the "Other Christian" section of the BB.

Where does the bible teach that, Steven?

    I thought the bible said:

Deuteronomy 18:20 "But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death."

Is that wrong? Is the bible mistaken?

This is a broad sampling of the Tongues I have spoken in the last two months. I do believe each line is a sentence, and each segment separated by an empty line is a whole thought. Fortunately, I translated all of these already and can provide translation later on.

What wasa missing from the scriptures and from the Lord Jesus/Holy Spirit themselves that forced you to turn to ungodly sources now?
When someone needs direction and guidance, do you seek that in the Bible, or by tongues and utterances now?

You have problems brother. Charismatics are very self centered, they want to have all the attention in themselves. Look at the way they dress, look at how they act. Man....please open your eyes.

I am praying for you. If you really do not understand speaking in tongues is not biblical you need to read the Bible.
