What is the difference between salvation and regeneration as mentioned in recent post?

Regeneration is when God makes you a new person in Christ.

Salvation is the result of regeneration.

First you receive salvation from the penalty for sin.

Then you receive salvation from the power of sin in your daily life.

Ultimately you will receive salvation from the presence of sin, in heaven.

    Two entirely different things.

But these are aspects of the same event. Not different events.

Regeneration is when the Holy Spirit enables the sinner to hear and now being able to believe unto jesus Christ and receive ternal life, new nature, sealing of the Holy Spirit etc.
This happens to us at the very same time, as it precedes faith in Jesus to save, but happens right when regen happens!

The ordo salutis is logical, not chronological.

Regen happens before the salvation itself happens....

No, you turn away from self and turn into God and life. One motion. The result is salvation and new like. You are spiritually alive

You can't turn until your heart is changed, you don't change your heart God does... Brother Glen:)

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

But in this life only salvation is conditional... You walk with God you receive his blessing, you don't he withholds them, but you can NEVER lose your Eternal Salvation... Scriptures never teaches that even though some say it is so, but it does teach this!

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This is not salvation. But promises to Israel

Freedom of will changes a heart because of the conviction on the Holy Spirit.

Text quoted is a prophecy written specifically to the Israelites. It has to do with the restoration of the nation of Israel. Has nothing to do with Christian regeneration unto salvation.

    Here's another text from Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.
31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.
For why should you die, O house of Israel?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”

The sin nature just wants to hide and keep away from God!
    See Adam in the garden!

I know the setting and it still applies to us... That is like saying that the ten commandment do not apply... That's OT too... Who are Gods people?... Jew and Gentiles there is no distinction as scripture states... They are all in Christ... God changes the heart they are Israel... Spiritual Israel... The OT and NT are in complete harmony, even if you don't see it... Brother Glen:)

No, that God grants the sinner the means to hear and respong by faith to the Gospel message itself. Unless God Himself does that, the lost sinner stays deaf and dumb!

He had a sin nature before he sinned and did not hide. Sin made him ashamed as compared to the Holiness of God

It might be a type for Christian living but it was written as promise to Israel
