“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:20–22)


“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:15–21)

 

That happened to Jerusalem. When Jesus returns they will be marrying and giving in marriage. Saying peace and safety.

 

Those holding the pre-trib rapture turn Jesus into Antichrist and remove Christ's redemptive work on the cross from Daniel 9. Serious problem on judgement day.

 

The do not call him this directly. But they remove him from Daniel 9 and replace him with Antichrist.

 

The rapture follows the resurrection of the dead in Christ.

 

Daniel 9:27 speaks of Jesus and his redemptive work on the cross. Pre-tribbers remove Jesus and insert Antichrist in his place.

 

Luke interprets "abomination of desolation" for us in his parallel passage.

Luke 21:20　 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.　(See also Luke 19:41-44)

(Mat 24:15　 “Therefore when you see the ‘ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),　

 

They also turn Jesus into Antichrist in Daniel 9:27. And since Antichrist did not fulfill the time slot Jesus did according to 9:27, they insert a huge gap of thousands of years. Totally obliterating Christ's atonement and the 70th week it found fulfillment in.

 

Luke says differently. The Holy Place is the Holy City = Jerusalem. You are confusing this with Paul's man of sin which found fulfillment in the Papacy.
